If someone wants to start a thread on "team toughness" and work to define "toughness" and THEN start a debate, go for it.
This thread was bought back to life to discuss the effectiveness of David Booth, and his place on the Canucks.

Now isn't that nice? Bullying newcomers instead of welcoming them?

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8551In the end, discussions will get heated, opinions will be debated ad nauseum and all we're asking is that a civil tone is used. What might be ok between you and someone else, might not be ok with the dozens of other posters that read it.

That would be nice, put the Jesus feet away for the summer and leave the walking on water to others better suited.

I think Booth was acquired in part due to his contract. On the surface, picking up a contract with 3 more years (after the 11-12 season) at a $4.25M might appear to be a big risk, but Booth is a 20 goal 40 point guy who has scored over 30 goals before. Given the way the cap has risen, I think Gillis might have bet on Booth's contract turning into a decent one. Personally, I see Booth as an asset that Gillis can package in a trade, but for now Booth gives the team a legitimate top 6 player to play with Kesler.

Such a cheeky monkey....
Back on topic: I'm predicting 27 goals for David Booth (without #1 PP time = damn fine!).
Anyone else got any predictions?
