To me they have a stacked top line in Gaborik/Richard/Nash and then nothing beyond Callahan on the 2nd line.

OR.....

They have a good top line and a decent 2nd line if they mix Gaborik and Nash up and down through the two lines.

I think Stepan is an adequate, young 2C. He had 51 points last year, after scoring 21 goals and putting up 45 points as a rookie the previous year. Stepan is a responsible 2-way C.

Hagelin is a solid young player with a ton of speed who has +25 goal potential, and Chris Kreider is a big power forward in the making with good speed and offensive instincts.

Like I said, if their young players continue performing and developing, their 2nd line can be solid without moving Nash or Gaborik down, but like its been noted, it's likely they don't load up the top line for the majority of the time.

I think it is a good deal for Columbus, that is a lot of money tied up in someone who wanted out and listed a few teams to trade with. He is a 30 goal scorer and has only come close to 80 points once.
