Well, the trash books were actually written in their own right. This particular "book" was, I kid you not, originally written on line as erotic Twilight fan fiction!
It had quite a following, so she was offered a contract to publish the repulsive garbage, but of course after changing all the names and shit so that they couldn't be sued by that mormone lady who writes the kiddy stalker vampire porn.

How this can take off is beyond belief and a rather sad statement on society, culture, mankind or whatever.

LOLz... a buddy of mine was going down to his basement a few weeks ago. His cat was lying on the steps and he didn't see it. He stepped down the cat yelped and he fell down his stairs. He broke three ribs... the cat was fine.

Found out the answer to this query.

Apparently Kiewit was given two options, twining the Port Mann and producing a 6 lane new bridge and then fixing up the old Port Mann so that it would last as long as the new bridge. They would have to modify the old bridge to new standards and codes as well.

The other option was to build the 10 lane new bridge and tear down the old bridge, which is what was chosen due to cost factors. It would have cost far more to modify the old bridge and build the new 6 lane bridge than to build a new 10 lane bridge and tear down the old Port Mann.

As a side note September 15th they will be opening up the Eastbound lanes on the new Port Mann because the need to demolish portions of the old bridge's Eastbound lanes in order to finish the Westbound lanes on the new bridge.

The bridge will be fully operational and start tolling on December 1st, this is all first hand info. Of course as most in construction know is subject to change any minute!
