Daniel Alfredsson would look mighty good with the twins. The opportunity to win a cup with them (& a hefty raise) may be enough to lure him from retirement.

Given the esteem with which Ottawa holds him (the desire to see him go out in style), & limited leverage, the price for his rights may be reasonable.

Reading some Wings blogs (on Kukla's Korner) they seem to really think he lost a step last season. Plus that makes us even older than if we go after Doan... isn't Homer 38-39?

He definitely wasn't what I was hoping for after the trade, but he is young and has some time to develop. Also, his conditioning pretty bad last year so maybe some time on the Canuck conditioning program will help.
