Let's discuss the smaller deals here, like the Ryan Smyth (obviously) staying in Edmonton for another 2 years.

Habs sign a broken Colby Armstrong.

Guillaume Latendresse is a Senator.

Adam Burish to Sharks. 4 years @ $1.8 million/per?! Jesus.
Try to focus on 1 year from now...

Kuba to Florida, 2 years 8 million.
Replacement for Garrison... not cheap, but not outrageous cost either for a defensive D.

Asham on a deal @ $1m per is about the only thing that looks really good so far, from a Nucks perspective.

It's always rumored that AA doesn't want to play out West, though.

Looks like Penner is going to re-sign in LA for one year, around $3M+
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

Man wanted this dude on the Canucks but knew he was going to get paid.
Brandon Prust signs 4-year contract with #Habs. 10 M$ deal

Tootoo wasn't getting the same amount of attention out there that Prust was getting, and JT not getting as much playoff ice time will affect his leverage a bit.

I say he gets Asham type money 2yrs $2M - $1M cap hit.

Sounds like the Canucks are trying to acquire a tough guy, heard they were asking about Parros, even Glass!
So Tootoo could be in play as well.

I'd love to see Asham on wing w/ the Sedins. Be like the ol' Gino w/ Bure days. AA would certainly know his role. Too bad it sounds like he's signing w/ the Rags.

So far only garbage in, garbage out around the league. I'm not feeling as if we've missed out on anyone, especially not with the dollars being handed out.
