Rumor: Aaron Volpatti re-signs

Post by Ched Brosky »

According to Bri Volpatti's facebook, Aaron Volatti was officially re-signed by the Canucks for most likely just 1 year. Seems like she is his sister or sister in law as comments are saying its a great gift for their aunt as it is her birthday

Even with that bum shoulder? I wouldn't mind him for one more year though, on a cheap two way contract to see how his shoulder holds up.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

He does a reasonable job as a 4th line stop gap. No problem with the signing.

Might as well. Canucks spent a lot of money on Volpatti. I like Volpatti and hope he works out.

I like Volpatti as well. He hits, fights, and can score the odd goal here and there. Pretty much what you'd want out of an honest 4th liner.

No problem at all with that signing. Having dedidacated depth players never hurts. Hope he will be in better health next season.

"@JamiesonCanucks
Just off the phone with Volpatti, says he knows 4th-liners need to be able to chip in offensively, believes he can do that next season."

Kind of obvious statement, but glad to hear is gung-ho! Let's hope the shoulder is in tiptop shape as that's his bread and butter, forechecking with aplomb.

Shit. I read the title of this thread, saw the name Aaron and the letter R, M, and O, and my brain processed it as Aaron Rome re-signs. My anxiety level kicked up a full notch for that half-second until I re-read it and then came back down to earth.

I think I'm going to go get checked for adult-onset dyslexia today. :look:

I'm having a little trouble with shoe laces lately too.....

I like the fact Volpatti hits and fights, but he couldn't even score in the AHL.

I have no problem with the signing be if he is a regular, your 4th line probably isn't very good.

I believe it's a two way contract and I'm thinking he may never be seen in Vcr next season. Depending if they sign Pinizzotto Weise and Bitz. I think they all do one thing or two things better than Vopatti. But hey he's depth. I here Jason Garrison has emptied every thing outta Florida and wants to end up in Vcr. At least we don't have to clean up more Tallon Cap Space. I'm almost scared of MG talking to Tallon
cheers
