p.s.___________Don't be too critical of 31 year olds. Tim and I are of the same age.

LOL, even GM can't tell when I'm being serious or not.Farhan Lalji wrote:Lol, c'mon Topper. Since when did you become so serious?!
I was obviously kidding around. Strangelove got it.

Seriously: That package doesn't even come close to the value of Lou + Kesler.Farhan Lalji wrote: Hey Doc,
Speaking of the leaves, what do you think about Luongo AND Kesler going to Toronto? If the Canucks were to offer both Luongo and Kesler to Toronto, do you think it would give us a chance at landing ALL of Gardiner, Schenn, Connolly, Ashton, and 5th overall?
If Luongo goes to the leaves, they will become my 2nd favorite team by default.Strangelove wrote:Seriously: That package doesn't even come close to the value of Lou + Kesler.Farhan Lalji wrote: Hey Doc,

Plus I would kill myself if Kesler ever ended up with the Leaves.
NOT kidding.

Which is exactly why TO would never consider it.Farhan Lalji wrote: that's a pretty damn impressive future young core right there.
Not anywhere near enough for two proven elite players on good contracts.Farhan Lalji wrote: -Ashton

all come here.
Schultz, upon seeing Gardiner in Vancouver, signs with us as well.
Remember - this is Burke we're talking about.CFP! wrote:Which is exactly why TO would never consider it.Farhan Lalji wrote: that's a pretty damn impressive future young core right there.

We already have Zack Kassian, Jordan Schroeder, and Corey Schneider.
Just saying - if we're thinking from a 'build from prospects' perspective, that's a pretty damn impressive future young core right there.
So then we get the Leave's next three 2nd round picks and next four 3rd round picks.Farhan Lalji wrote:Remember - this is Burke we're talking about.CFP! wrote:Which is exactly why TO would never consider it.Farhan Lalji wrote: that's a pretty damn impressive future young core right there.

-Prospect with size.
-Prospect with size.
-Top-4 Dman with top-2 potential.
-Top-4 Dman with Willie Mitchell potential.
-Possible impact Forward, or possible Luke Schenn.
-Cap Dump.
That package goes a long way to making us yonger and bigger. It also eliminates us from competition next season and immediately closes our window with the Sedins. We give up a multiple Vezina finalist and one of the best defensive forward in hockey for a package of youngsters and unproven talent.
No offense man, (thanks for bumping some threads today) butt do you ever get tired of reading your "spitballing"? I mean, you say slow day....but it seems like your posts contain a lot filler.Farhan Lalji wrote: Again - I'm just thinking out loud. Slow day.
