I think its gonna be close and probably pretty entertaining. I'm finally over the nucks embarrassing performance and can watch for the love of the game. I think both teams have been fortunate with matchup/injuries but probably the kings moreso and thus I predict devils win.

I think the Kings are in for a surprise. The Devils are as fast if not faster than the Kings. They also hit very well. They play a forchecking/trap style, which will give the Kings fits. Remember, they play this style with personnel that are a lot more talented than the Coyotes. Also, the top end players on the Devils (Kovalchuk and Parise), are better than Richards and Carter. In goal, it's pretty even. Brodeur isn't all over the place like Mike Smith. I think it's the Devils in 5 or 6.

Granted, but Kopitar and Brown are the top two forwards on LA.

Willie sucks, and never did much Vancouver. He also beaked off in the media a bit about Van (iirc).

The Kings won't know what to do when they find themselves down 1-0, I'm thinking Devils in 6. But I don't know, or care all that much.

Won't be really watching, but hoping New Jersey can win it. Can't stand the smugness of the Kings - would love nothing better than for Doughboy and Brown-hole get filled in and sent to the hospital Cupless.

I'm really surprised as to how many people in this thread think the Devils will win.

I hope the Devils win as well but I can't see LA losing.

I will also say this about LA:

What a mentally tough team they have. Seriously. I know in year's past, I have often talked about the Canucks being a "mentally fragile" team.......to which many posters asked me to cite a team that I thought actually was "mentally tough"......and here you go. This year's version of the LA Kings.

Am I saying this just because they are winning? Nope. Look at how many CLOSE games the Kings have won in this year's playoffs. In 3 series' now, the Kings have put away teams in 4-5 games. Quite the contrast to the Canucks who pissed away 3 games to Chicago, while losing 2 games to Nashville that they had no business losing.

And lest we forget - the team thinking that they had the Stanley Cup in the bag after being up 2-0 and 3-2 in the series against Boston.

The only thing I cannot understand about LA is why they have such difficulty scoring. These guys have some serious top end talent and its not like they are trapping to death to have such an incredibly low GA. Anyone who's been watching the playoffs this year know that these guys forecheck hard.
