I am more excited about the new rink in Seattle, this may lead to an NHL team being wihtin a 1 person dirving range.

Edmonton rink looks very nice. One problem though - it's in Edmonton... :eh:

It was interesting to hear that their provincial gov't is NOT going to provide any funding for it... i wonder if it will fly? And if it doesn't, will ownership threaten re-location? And if that happens, are we then going to witness another Nordiques-Avalanche type of dynamic? Probably not, but I remember how frikin spoiled Denver was to acquire the Avalanche after the Nordiques had accumalated all of those incredible draft picks, i.e., Forsberg, Sakic, Deadmarsh, etc
