I don't miss driving in traffic. At all. I might have to drive 12 miles to the nearest grocery store now, but it's a relaxing drive through rolling hills while seeing 2 or 3 other cars.

The traffic these days on the Trans-Can is bloody ridiculous.

I still have family/friends in Vacouver but I make THEM come HERE!

There is no way anyone commutes that stretch every day and retains his/her sanity.

Not sure how much the new bridge will help.....

I've stopped trying to rationalize why people do things in traffic.

It's like they get in their vehicle and their brain shuts down.

The mere fact that so many people pick their nose even when they are stopped right beside someone proves that most simply assume by entering a vehicle they enter their own world. Oblivious to those around them they must get to their destination as quickly as possible, common sense be damned!

They are in their impenetrable mobile fortress and are not accountable for their own actions because they do not have to look anyone in the eye.

Ever waited in a border line-up and have countless cars pass you in the Nexxus lane only to slam back into the normal line-up as close to the border as possible. I guess they just think everyone else likes waiting in the longer line!

Yup, drivers do the darndest things.

Usually wifey and I laugh it all off, but on Saturday I snapped for some reason.

Seriously though I've only road-raged ONE other time ever.

That was about 10 years ago and I actually got out of my car and ran over ( guy drove off).

Especially unwritten ones.

I also could consider it for whoever came up with the idea to put small stickers on apples. Wtf?

Not sure how much the new bridge will help.....

New bridge should help if the Golden Ears is any indication.

Toll it and nobody will use it.

Joking of course ... the Port Mann is a much more integral crossing. Though some are that cheap that they will avoid the bridge at all costs. Should expedite traffic on the always fun Patullo and push even more to the Alex Fraser.

The Lower Mainland needs roughly 5 more crossings to actually make a difference.

LOL @ Strangeloves tale...it is the exact reason I rarely head East on the highways...if I'm leaving town it's generally on wings or mid week, mid day. (Which still sucks but a least you are moving...)

I used to commute 5 days a week from Port Moody to Kerrisdale. What a pain it was 20 years ago! I couldn't imagine what it's like now.

I now commute about 75 feet down the hallway.
