...pitchforkers exist!!

Just like bandwagoners and Sedin bashers.

Not sure I intimated otherwise?

Luongos always had his detractors though.

They're just louder right now.

Because American Gothic was before his time.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

So you don't have to ask more than once, no, I do not subscribe to that theory.

Chasing Dan Cloutier out of town doesn't make us a goalie graveyard, it displays us as intellectually sound.

HW - can you confirm Bieksa played the last 5 weeks with a tear in a stomach muscle?

She's on a plane to London and then off to Paris.

You'll have to wait a month for your response.

So you don't think the pitchforkers have their desired effect? :drink:

Vancouver is a goalie graveyard.... for sure, but in fairness Montreal just about ran Price outta town.

So at least we don't hold a monopoly on the term!

Yes: So you don't think the pitchforkers have their desired effect? :drink:

DON'T ANSWER THAT QUESTION!

Let's just agree to disagree.

Not an enjoyable place to play goal for an entire career, your Vancouver, says I.

Unless I suppose one were to backstop em to a Stanley Cup.

But let's face it, that's not ever gonna happen

... because the Hockey Gods hate pitchforkers amirite? :D

Said Goaltender gets to Vancouver (or to be fair, other cities) full of promise and upside. The media and fans suck said promise and upside out like a buncha fuckin vampires and said goaltender leaves town as an empty shell of the man he once was.

Or something like that!

Have you tried Wikipedia?

Holy shit, look at that…

General manager Brian Burke had coined the term "goalie graveyard" during his tenure in Vancouver to describe the club's goaltending fortunes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roberto_Luongo

Luongo strolls into 'graveyard'
By RANDY SPORTAK, CALGARY SUN

Simply lasting in Vancouver will be an achievement. A total of 18 goalies have tended the Canucks' nets since Kirk McLean departed in 1998. Even past GM Brian Burke referred to it as a goalie graveyard.

(1998 to 2006... 8 years and 18 goalies) (2006 to 2012... 6 years 1 goalie)

Careful what ya wish for....
