kinda funny how the Walmart goalies are stealing series for their teams...and the big money netmen are kaput...

The more LA games I watch, the more I want Dustin Brown on my team.

Well Lundqvist, Brodeur, Rinne and Bryzgalov are all technically still alive. Jon Quick will be a $6M/year goalie soon enough.

No doubt, $6.5M per at the very least, as he'll be a UFA after next season.

Looks like LA is going to sweep St. Louis today, 2-1 LA with 10 min. left in the 3rd.

LA into the Western Final. 8-1 in the playoffs.

What does LA have that we don't? Heart.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that watching the Blues get swept by LA feels good. Somehow a little vindicating if not illogical I guess.

Blues gone.
Detroit gone.
Chicago gone.
SJS gone.

Will Nashville be next?

Watching LA it seems like they have had two easy series. I mean no banged up bodies, players dropping like flies. They are playing efficient minutes and near minimal number of games. This bodes well for going deep. Today Quick was outstanding. If this is how he plays the rest of the way I change my mind, Phoenix won't last.

A complete well balanced team that is big and fast. 4 lines that can be rolled effectively. Solid tough to play against D.

Is LA really that good? They sure look it.

We can all make fun of Dutter as an inept GM, but he's a good coach.

I hope the Caps can continue the trend and take out the last of the top seeds. I'm now rooting for Phoenix to go all the way. Do not want to see all those fake celebs and LA band-wagoners go any further.

Doan, Gretzky, Glendale, Winnipeg, Canadian snowbirds... they all deserve it more. Use that playoff revenue to pay Wayne.

Those fucking Devils.

3-1 series lead over the Flyers.

These playoffs are of the bizarro type.

Kings are where they belong.... they played well.

Vancouver and St Louis are where they belong.... they played like ass.

I can honestly say I haven't watched more than half a game since the Canucks got eliminated. The teams left in are boring, trapping clubs , the refffing is horrific and other than the Flyers , none of the teams left in can push the pace even a little.

When NBC dictates that there will not be a Saturday evening game..... I've almost had enough of the NHL.

Jeff Carter joined LA on Feb 25th for Johnson. Columbus traded a 1st liner for a d-man LA did not trust against the opponents top 6 forwards. From the date of that trade until the end of the season, LA played at a 113 point clip and scored a full goal more per game than their opponents. Their puck possession numbers were over 60%.

Since Feb 25th and including playoffs, LA has won 20 of their last 29 games and lost only 5 of the 29 outright.

They don't have "heart". They have a great team.

This means Steen and Berglund are available to play for Sweden at the on-going world championships!

I expect Berglund to say yes. Not sure about Steen, as he has had an injury riddled season. Might need the rest.
