Look around the league and what do you see, Quick, Rinne, Smith, Miller, Lundqvist, Luongo and Schneider. Those are the best, they're the ones that can give you a chance to win it all. 7 guys. Yet some posters want Luc Schenn? No I want Hedman and a 1st. Or give me Stamkos. I don't know what Gillis will do but I can't see enough value on the Leafs for any kind of trade to be made.

If Schneider is on that list you should add Elliot, Price, Thomas, Kipper.

And get real, if Stamkos was on the block, he's getting Schneider, Edler, Jensen and a first round pick from us (and I'd do it.)

I disagree with your goalie assessments. Thomas is already 38 and Kipper will be 36 when the season starts. Both of them are not going to last much longer at the top. Price might be your choice as a top 'tender but he's not one of mine and Elliot, once again sorry but I disagree.

As for your theory of what teams won't bid for Luo's or Schneider's services, I'm not in agreement with that either. When you only have a short list of top guys, every team will look at what they have and then at what they might have to give up. I still feel that to win the cup you have to have a top guy and that applies to every team. That is of course if they are trying to win.

I'm wondering what the problem is with Luke Schenn as a piece coming back.Hes only 22, has excellent toughness and has been a pretty decent prospect up until he went pro. He cant be that bad already just from wearing the maple leaf can he????

I've thought along those lines to and then i read where Randy Carlyle said that when Beauchemin returned to Anaheim his confidence had been completely destroyed and couldn't make a simple pass. I think as a young D that's what may have happened to Schenn. There's a good player still there but needs resurrecting

Well I've been pushing for Schenn since just before the deadline.

Buy low is my philosophy.

If he was playing to his potential = unavailable.

As it stands, we could get Schenn-plus in a Lou trade.

Plays the RS, hits like a truck, sticks up for his mates.
