I will be cheering on my son's inline hockey team and my daughter's softball team. That's it. Then it's summer.

The Lincoln Stars are currently tied 1-1 in their USHL playoff series with the Fargo Force.

That's where my hockey mind is at now.

I turned to TV on in the bedroom last night and it was still on Versus so the Sens game was on. I saw the Sens were winning 1-0 and decided to sit down and watch some against my better judgement. Luckily about a minute into my watching experience the refs called Foligno for a ridiculous goaltender interference call that put the Sens on a 4-on-3 PK which turned to 5-on-3 PK shortly after. The Rangers scored. I turned the channel shaking my head at the officiating.

I still don't have a dog in this fight but I think it would be best for hockey in general and the Canucks in particular if the Predators or Flyers (two teams with huge contracts in net and potent offenses) win it all.

Worst case scenarios would be Phoenix, St. Louis or the New York Rangers (but only the Rangers because I hate them).

The RoughRiders. Once the Canucks are done, I have no team until the cool breeze of September's training camp brings in a new season.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

Ihanaa leijonat, ihanaa = wonderful lions, wonderful

Someone sampled a sportscaster (Antero Mertaranta) and made a techno tune from it back in 1999 already, then someone combined it with footage from the 2011 world championship final.

...here's a piece of info with respect to the level playing field of the NHL.

The 4 Eastern teams are within a 200 mile radius of each other.

The West, 2000 miles.

If the New York Rangers go to the Cup Final they literally do not have to get on an airplane for travel until June freaking 4th!!!!

Chick doing colour for NJ Radio I was listening to last night made a comment heading into OT about how tired the two teams must be with a long gruelling travel sched up and down the eastern seaboard.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

For me, it's the Phoenix Coyotes. 2nd choice is Washington.

I like Phoenix because the team has been through a lot. Constant mediocrity, a city not respecting them, and a whole plethora of other issues. The one constant in all of this however has been Shane Doan......Phoenix's version of Trevor Linden. I absolutely love Shane Doan. He's an honest hard working guy and an excellent leader.......much like Linden was. True Coyote fans deserve to have their faith rewarded.

My vote goes for Phoenix. If Phoenix bows out (which will most likely happen), then I will cheer on the Capitals for the sole fact that they've had a great core for years and simply have not 'brought it' in the post-season. As a Canucks fan that has seen his team underdeliver in the post-season one too many times, I feel for the Caps.
