Yeah, that is a totally weirdo thing that they have between them.Arachnid wrote:plus, you have to love the High School/Minor head-to-head Americano of Quick/Schneider...
Highschool hockey team rivalry in the United States? MAJOR money. Our boy Ginger's contract negotiations are probably just for ego. He's always had a parachute; it just so happens that he's an awesome goalie.
But adolescent/schoolaged rivalries are the first we ever encounter and sometimes it shapes us.

Ha ha but they're on the same team now. Cue homoerotic fan fiction.Arachnid wrote:Ummmmm, the heathen Kesler (17) & the promised land Booth (7)...have a history too...Stink About It?!™
Anyway, no stink. It's that the last time Cory and Jon met, things were the same but the stakes so much different. Wonder if any of the "old feelings" end up coming into play. Then again, NHL goalies tend to have been a breed apart.

I had my heart down by my asshole at the end of the first. So much reminsicent of the past 3 games. Regardless of what happens in this series, I hope to fuck Raymond doesn't play in a Canucks uni ever again. What a chickenshit pussy move on Kopitar.
All it took was a little puck luck, and it was like the light went on. I never knew how bad Hank had it on the ice without Daniel until Daniel came back. Nice to see what the twins can do when they have each other as an option for a pass. The tight-curl backhand passes were beauty. Even Booth looked dangerous with them, if only he could get the puck up. Nice to see Hank and Danny team up on Brown. Hank could have levelled him a-la Messier with Brown on his knees, but a little 'fuck you' tap. Yeah, he's a pussy alright.
I think I saw a Kings assistant coach mouth 'uh-oh' when Hank scored. They're baaaaack.
Cory has to get the start on Sunday. He was awesome covering off the bottom - like another American prep school goalie. Nice to see what ours can do when the team has a lead. If the Canucks make it out of the series, then it makes sense to put Lou in the next one but no sense in fucking up a roll.
The only things made me cringe was late in the 3rd when guys were whiffing on pucks and being waay too casual. Hopefully that gets picked up between games.
Big hill to climb still, but win #1 out of the way!

First off - I am happy for the win.Blob Mckenzie wrote: You are missing my point GM. THE OFFENSIVE GAME DRIED UP MONTHS AGO. IT HAD FUCK ALL TO DO WITH COHO BEING DEALT. Hodgson was on a 20 point pace from about game 40. The top players (and the pp) on the Canucks dried up. That's on them and the coaching staff and doesn't have anything to do with Coho being moved.
I missed the end of the game unfortunately due to a friend of mine having an emergency (had to drive him to the hospital, he's fine), but I'm glad we won. The last thing I saw was the penalty shot.
Blob - I do concede the fact that our offense dried up months ago......and you're right.
To Pahlsson's credit, he actually is doing a decent job of providing secondary scoring.
The Canucks do need more out of Kesler but perhaps his shortened training in the summer has hampered his production (as it did Raymond's).
