Waffle,
TSN had it at .8 seconds.

Faking it just like Daniel did.Strangelove wrote: "Latest: Hossa was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and released shortly thereafter. He underwent a series of tests that 'yielded positive results'. Is is being monitored by Hawks medical staff at home."
Re: OOTS 11/12 playoff edition
That was 0.8 sec late?
I guess since its TSN we will have to take it as the gospel, and I bow to HW's superior peepers
Of course that would make it later than Rome's hit, which would mean that Rome can move faster than Torres. Maybe Rome's nickname should be "The Rocket."

Re: OOTS 11/12 playoff edition
There is no way Torres should get suspended for that hit just like Brown got nothing for hitting Hank. To me it was a clean open ice hit. But then I never felt Rome should have gotten a penalty or a suspension.
The only HW the Canucks need
Re: OOTS 11/12 playoff edition
Not sure on point of contact, but Raffi did leave his feet to make the hit. He'll be suspended and being a repeat offender, Shanahan will throw the book at him.
Folks, much like Horton, have to get the Rome hit out of their heads. That was Murphy, a different era.
My hope was for Raffi to score the OT winner so that the Madison staff would have a chance to use their defib gear on Joel Quenneville.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Quennville interviewed after the period in near hyperventilation mode.
Are these guys really that blind to their own hypocrisy?

Quenneville is in a class all by himself with that stuff, donnie.
Every time a Blackhawk is injured on a bad play, you can count on old Joel for a "worst hit I've seen in my life" quote.

Comes by it honestly from the Marc Crawford school of NHL whining I suppose.dbr wrote:Quenneville is in a class all by himself with that stuff, donnie.

Still, I look at the two hits (without my Canucks colored shades) and his boys on Daniels is far worse considering targeting and predatory factors.
Quennville on Torres/Hossa..."the puck was no where near him"
Quennville on Keith/Sedin..."it was a tough play"
Uh, Joel??

Yeah I'm not sure how anyone - edit: other than Quenneville of course - can argue that Torres' hit was as bad as Keith's.
It was ugly (for Hossa) and predatory to be sure, but all Raffi ever wants to do it seems is lay guys out.
Keith targeted the head which is something we've all been told is the ultimate no-no in today's game.

Oh and wait. Didn't they try to decapitate Smith too? I watch what is going on this play off and I have to ask how in the hell were we singled out as whiners and divers and babies. Too bad the coaches couldn't all be like Babcock.
The only HW the Canucks need
Re: OOTS 11/12 playoff edition
Torres/Hossa hit was not nearly as bad as Keith/Sedin and Quenville knows it. What a hypocrite!
He's just setting up Shanahan for an increased suspension. I didn't see Quenville say he had any concern for Hossa's health. What an asshole.
Having said that Torres should get at least 5 games(being a repeat offender) .It wouldn't surprise me at all if Shanahan makes an example of Torres and throws the book at him maybe even the rest of the season.

2-2 Pens/Flyers after 15 minutes.
Pens running into penalty trouble. Cooke kinda got screwed though IMO.
So much scoring in this series. Very exciting.

And it's 3-2... on a PPG by the Flyers.
Craziness. 3 power play goals already.
