Does one commenting that he thinks we are going to lose equate to giving up or throwing in the towel?

Not saying n e thing about you Miyagi, just sayin'.

This whole thing just feels soooo Canuck like.

Tough breaks, no bounces, short handed goals, outplay and lose.

Right up Johnny C's alley....

I refuse that the Canucks are going to lose 4 straight games to the LA Kings.

Its unfathomable that that would happen.

Here's my theory. Friday night and those 2 SHG was the bottom of the SINE curve.

Last night was a major step up the SINE curve. We oscillated above equilibrium but ultimately, we ended up negative.

Wednesday we'll end up positive and game 5 will be that much better.

We controlled all aspects of last night's game. The Kings were essentially chasing the entire game and they were getting tired. We all saw that.

Hank decides to tap into his special twin endurance power to stay on the ice for 3:21 AFTER getting steamrolled by Dustin Brown. If that's not leadership, I don't know what is. I really like the energy the Hank/Burr/Hansen line brings. Skill, power and puck retrieval. The line had a strong night.

Our goaltending is as solid as can be. No cracks at all.

Last night's puck movement was the best it's been all season. Fast transition from our D to our Forwards and fast entry into the LA zone. Hammer was fantastic.

PP looked dangerous. LA did a good job keeping us to the outside but at least it didn't kill our momentum like game 2 (and every game before that).

PK was perfect. Even though there was some shitty calls, we killed off our penalties well.

There's a lot of positive to draw up from last night's game. Unfortunately, the Canucks got robbed by a hot goalie and their inability to shoot a difficult to save puck at Quick. No rebounds, no tips, not many mad scrambles around the King net.

Eventually I'll be right.

Braying donkey mentality.

Well, a lot of things have come to light over these last three games, and there are a lot of questions to be asked, but I'll leave that to the off-season.

I'll cheer to the end of course but I think my time is being poorly managed in doing so....
I've always been of the mindset of believing in the playoffs until it's over.

Sometimes it's not worth the investment, neither emotionally nor time wise. And if you're a betting man, the odds aren't' good, so doubling down isn't exactly wise.

But since I'm already occupying the realm of Lloyd Christmas, I'm holding out for that slim chance. And from my eternally optimistic perspective, this team should be, but hasn't been, more productive. So there's at least SOME rationality for holding out hope.

I hear ya Coco.

There is only the game upcoming and our need to win. Everything else is just noise and can wait. Hopefully our desire to win > than LA's desire to win.

finally.

I get it. I'm not saying we are going to lose. I like to camouflage that with words like "probably" and likely". I am well aware of the odds of coming back but I refuse to think that this group can't do it. Would I be wrong to say that 90% of Canuck Nation thinks we will lose? Would I be wrong to say that last night and this morning 50% of those people have given up all hope and most likely believe we will be swept in 4?

The mood is pessimistic and rightfully so. I prefer to remain on the optimistic side and will cling to any glimmer of hope that still might be lingering around.

Daniel to the rescue?

DANIEL SEDIN TO PARTICIPATE IN FULL CANUCKS PRACTICE TUESDAY

Canucks don't play til Wednesday. Hit the "Reset" button for our own "sweep"??

However unlikely it is, it's as unlikely as the Canucks currently being down 3-0. Still, I don't like our chances, but it would be nice to make a series out of it...

Canucks digress a bit as a team in terms of their regular season prowess, but become war horses in the playoffs with that top line.......a line that would carry this team by its ball sack when it mattered most.

Thanks Miyagi.

A fan should never give up on his/her team until if-and-when said team is eliminated.

Do folks think it will hurt less if they give up early?

Imagine your Vancouver Canucks come back to win this series. :D

For the record this fan has not given up...he just doesn't think they're gonna win.

But he'll gladly print these posts and eat them with gruel if they do.

I'd buy a shirt !!

I suggested a minimum of 10 games as well for deliberate head shots. If an injury results add more. If it is a 2nd or 3rd offense add more. The players then know up front that there are no freebies and no favouritism.

The NHLPA and the league have to get on board and do something or the lawsuits and such will make the Eagleson mess or Bertuzzi - Moore look like a picnic in the park.

I would bet Topper's truck and Lever's Bimmer it will happen.
