From the first loss against Nashville on, I never wore a Canucks jersey for the rest of the playoffs.
This season, I wear my Canucks jersey for Games 1 and 2, hoping that things will be different this year. Look what happened.
For the rest of this series, I will not wear any Canucks jerseys, as an effort to not jinx the team again.
Hope you've been well, WF.
I feel ya Toasty... change is better than the alternative in live...change or die. So I figure it's surely good for a fan, superstious(sp?) maybe...but i ain't ready to die yet!!! been sometimes diamond sometimes rust. Namaste WF
Not really superstitious at all...but I am an energy guy...and when a team feels the fans jump off the bandwagon and not be behind them it becomes a matter of the heart and of faith...we magically finish first overall in a highly completive league modelled on parity, two years in a row and yet there are still negative thoughts by so-called fans....that blows my mind...maybe it's not the team at all but the downer fans....time for some accountability
Don't know Spidey just know that I AM a fan...of whatever team/person/muscian that sings to me. Back in the glory days of the big red machine/ Yzerman et al I became re-introduced to the NHL (thanx to my son & nephew) posted on the old Canucks Central board back in '96 as a fan of the game but a neophyte to the league. The fans on the board back then didn't mind that 1st i was a Wings fan...just a fan of the game. I would say they were the more enlightened fans of their team and the game & didn't mind me being the loyal opposition.
Namaste, WildMari
