I'm not opposed whatsoever to Schneider playing........but if the Canucks and Vigneault choose to go this route, then I think it's Luongo that needs to be dealt in the off-season.

I personally felt that Schneider should have been made the official #1 goalie after we beat the Bruins on January 7th, but the past is past.

If the Canucks go with Schneider tonight, regardless of how he plays tonight, I think this team needs to deal Lou come summer time.

Schneider has been the Canucks best goalie this season. Period. He has played against good teams in big games and he has much better numbers than Luongo. It isn't being anti Luongo by not starting him. Cory is the better goalie at this time and he has been all year. He gives the Canucks the best chance to win.

Luongo has played decent so far but in each game he let in a questionable goal. The Canucks need more than decent right now - they need someone to stand on his head.

I agree with you in what you're saying, but I think Schneider should have taken the reigns as the #1 goalie back on January 7th when the Canucks defeated the Bruins in the biggest regular season game in our history. At the time, I believed the the team became Schneider's both spiritually and mentally.

If the Canucks play Schnieder tonight, he should be the goalie from here on out.

If Luongo doesn't play tonight, he is done with this team as far as being the #1 goalie is concerned. Not that there's anything necessarily wrong with that's just how I see it.

As an asside, I don't understand as to why Luongo is such a focal point. Luongo hasn't been tremendous, but he's still been one of our best players.....if not, THE best.
