They wouldn't have to generate much here, they would simply shine a spotlight on the fact that you are having difficulty comprehending the first paragraph.

Since deliberately shooting the puck out of the playing area from their D zone is cause for a penalty, & players don’t want to be penalized, it’s not rational to assume that players intentionally do this.

What about the whole 5 minutes for fighting business? Or 2 minutes for cross-checking or slashing? Or why haul a guy down on a breakaway? No rational player would want to take a penalty so why would they do something like that?

The refereeing for the Flyers/Pens game has been outstanding.

Linesmen are sharp and the refs aren't whistle happy. They're letting the players play and overlooking the little stuff.
