GDT - Canucks vs Ducks 7PM PST TSN
Some meaning for us, limited meaning for the Ducks.
Win out, win the Conference.
AV, in his morning presser yesterday, was asked, once again, regarding the status of one Daniel Sedin. His response, after lol'ing @the querying reporter (paraphrased)... "Daniel came in yesterday, went straight to Bernie (Canucks trainer Mike Burnstein) and stated that he had taken a couple of steps back and actually felt much worse, he claimed he was starting to feel like Hank"...
Perhaps our last ever chance to see Teemu Selanne play an NHL game in Vancouver.

NHL.COM PREVIEW
EXCERPT: This will be the fourth and final game between the teams. The Canucks are looking to even up the series at two games apiece. The Ducks prevailed in their last meeting by a score of 4-2. Jason Blake scored a pair of goals in that victory.
The Canucks are chasing the Presidents' Trophy for the second straight season, but they will have to keep up their winning streak (six games) to hold off the St. Louis Blues, who trail Vancouver by one point (106) in the standings. The New York Rangers also have 107 points.
INJURIES: Ducks goalie Dan Ellis (sports hernia) is practicing and hopes to play before the season ends. … Vancouver defenseman Kevin Bieksa missed his third straight game due to what the coaching staff calls "maintenance days." Keith Ballard (concussion) is day-to-day, Daniel Sedin (concussion) has missed seven games and defenseman Aaron Rome (knee) hasn't skated since getting hurt in Colorado March 24.
HOT: Henrik Sedin has eight assists in his last six games. (But no goals in his last 300 or so, according to Royaldude). Chris Higgins has scored four goals in his last five games.
HISTORY: In the 2007 Western Conference Quarterfinals, the Ducks met the Minnesota Wild. The Ducks won the first three games and eventually the series 4 games to 1. The team faced the Vancouver Canucks, the Northwest Division champions, in the second round. After a split in Anaheim the Ducks won game 3 on a Perry goal and game 4 on an overtime goal by Travis Moen. Game 5 also went to double overtime. Rob Niedermayer laid a huge hit in the Canuck zone, Scott Niedermayer collected the puck at the point and beat a distracted Roberto Luongo to win the series 4-1. In their third Western Conference Final they faced the Detroit Red Wings for the fourth time in the playoffs. The Ducks lost game one 2-1 on a shot that deflected off of the glove of Francois Beauchemin. In game 2 the Ducks won in overtime on a shot by Scott Niedermayer. Game 3 back at home was perhaps their worst of the playoffs as they lost 5-0. Pronger was involved in a hit with Rob Niedermayer on Tomas Holmstrom and received a one game suspension. Without Pronger the Ducks stepped up in Game 4 and won 4-3. Game 5 back in Detroit was a defensive battle the whole way. With the Red Wings up 1-0 in the third period Carlyle pulled Giguere on a power play and with less than a minute to play Scott Niedermayer banked in the tying goal off of the stick of Nicklas Lidstrom. In overtime Andy McDonald caused a turnover in front of the Detroit net and Selanne netted the game winner over Dominik Hasek. In Game 6 the Ducks held on to win 4–3 to earn their second Western Conference championship.

Boy, that Saku Koivu sure is playing like a gigantic TIT these days. I wonder if he will also call it quits at the end the season.

Read an article yesterday about Salo that said he's feeling great and next year he might take another kick at the cans.

All we need is the Twins to peak at the right time.
