Just as in the NHL the playoffs are played in a best out of seven format and with unlimited overtime, no shootouts.
And just as in the NHL, there are a lot of complaints that the refs let everything go in the playoffs....

Best scorer so far is George Holloway of Skellefteå Aik with 6 points in 3 games (3G 3A).
Jakob Silfverberg, that I mentioned earlier, is going to be a monster of a player.
He has been awarded Guldhjälmen (the golden helmet) as MVP of the regular season 2011/12 and he had two goals last night and assisted on the GWG in overtime. There is now speculation that he might head over to Ottawa this season already, when the Swedish playoffs are done, which would be possible since he has already signed a contract with the Senators and then been lent back to Brynäs. Thus it would not count as a trade or transfer, but just as a callup. The last date to leave the SEL for teh NHL has been passed, but once the SEL season ends, there is nothing preventing him from playing in the NHL, so he'd be ready to go in time for the Stanley Cup playoffs!
Game seven of the Swedish Championship quarter finals is scheduled for March 23rd, of the semi finals for April 7th (same as the NHL regular season) and of the final for April 21st.
Sure, should Brynäs go all the way, he may be too beat and arrive too late for Ottawa to consider it, but otherwise it's certainly a possibility, especially if they suffer injuries and need someone to fill an empty roster space.
