A must win for Canucks.

The third line sizzles.

Shut down Higgins and you destroy the Canucks.

I like Salo, but he hasn't been good the last few games.
Nothing wrong with his shot though.

The more I watch Schneider plays, the harder for me to see MG trade him.
Wouldn't it be just oh so perfect if we win the Cup this year and ship Luongo to his retirement home near Miami?
Sedin with world class play once again

Alberts! Alberts! Alberts!
This is NOT shutdown hockey.

The first line looks better after the shake up.
Re: GDT - Canucks vs Stars 7PM PST TSN
Any line with Higgins is effective. Any line with Raymond is pretty much useless. Moving Raymond off the first line is the smartest decision that AV has made in a while.clem wrote:The first line looks better after the shake up.

Raymond tries, but he's about as hard on the puck as a gnat.
I'd like to see the following.
Burrows-Henrik-Kassian/Bitz
Booth-Kesler-Daniel

Did Morrow play in this game at all? Besides taking two penalties, he was pretty invisible.
Re: GDT - Canucks vs Stars 7PM PST TSN
I know that he tries hard but the Canucks cannot afford to have a boat anchor like him on the top six. If he can't score, he does nothing else. I know he can back check but most of the time he is the one who gives up the puck in the offensive zone.clem wrote:Raymond tries, but he's about as hard on the puck as a gnat.

It an inside joke from when I was on the other CC and talking about the BC Lions.clem wrote:How come?Reefer2 wrote:A must win for Canucks.
Just a joke because really the game has little effect on the Nucks.
But I like 5 goals and only 2 against.

Some promising signs tonight.
1st line showed some spark. 3rd line remains hot. Schneider.
We were more assertive after loose pucks (especially the D). Though a little loose late in the game.
But ....the 2nd line is still a problem. Kesler showed the frustration.

Nice to see Hank get 3 points tonight. That was not a bad line with Burrows and Lappy. The only problem is that is reduced our 4th line to minimal ice time. Perhaps went eh playoffs start and we have players like Bitz and Reinprecht (sp) we will be able to put together a decent 4th line again. That is if Dank can't go.
I wonder if putting Dank with Kesler and Booth is worth a shot? They have been ice cold since they lost Higgins to the shut down line. I mean Higgins alone has out scored Kesler and Booth combined since the change.
Anyway, nice to see a 5 goal performance especially against the Stars. We have had trouble with them this year so it is encouraging that in such an important game for them we were able to put on that performance.
A word about Luongo. He has matured this year. I don't ever recall him pulling himself because of a nagging injury. For him to put the team first like that and say he just didn't feel right and needed the night off IMHO is huge for a guy with such an ego. Good on him. And Lou, if the neck still hurts tomorrow no problem, let Cory take that one too and get more rest.
5 wins in a row after an OT loss to Chicago. 11 out of 12 possible points. Anyone still worried?
