Spidey?

LOL! Goes all the way to dhabums cropping his quote of Spidey!

Anyway, I edited my response and took your name out. 8-)

Oh, and Spidey, women are still recommended to wear bikinis, but opting for t-shirt and shorts instead is no longer forbidden. It's probably not going to change overnight.

I think the old Brazilian guy that ran this as his personal enterprise has retired... :P

Perhaps you should start taping the tournaments? :?

btw the NHL has requested an in person disciplinary hearing or asked Keith to waive his right to that in person hearing. It leaves things open for a 5+ game suspension.

Looks like Keith may get six games and Daniel is possibly gone for a minimum of two weeks. What I don't understand is with concussions having been an issue over the last few years why the reluctance to deal with one of the major causes of such injuries, notwithstanding the behaviour of the players.

Change the bloody equipment, obviously the minor changes that have occurred do nothing to prevent injury, and hockey being what it is elbowing is not going to stop. Is cause and effect so difficult to figure out.

Yeah, if Shanahan is going to keep his integrity, a three game ban for a deliberate headshot at last year's Art Ross winner, with no puck in the viscinity, is just not going to cut it. This indicates that he has realised that. Good! 8-)

Can you provide a link tant? All I'm seeing is phone interview on TSN (http://aol.sportingnews.com/nhl/story/2 ... blackhawks)

Article goes on to tow the usual line of phone interview = 5 games or less.

Thanks chief!

Ferraro talking about it this morning. They originally scheduled a simple phone hearing but then asked Keith to waive his in person right;I assume so the same appointment could be used. Not saying it's going to be more than 5 just that it would seem they have left that possibility open by asking and presumably getting Keith to waive the in person right.

If that is accurate and I see no reason to believe otherwise then the NHL got pressured. And that pressure couldn't have just come from Gillis it had to come from other GMs and sources. Something may have been mentioned in the officials game report for example (a threat uttered and carried through on?). NHL is also sensitive to the press and media. This is getting pretty heavy rotation and even non-hockey fans in this neck of the woods have seen that elbow.

Who knows...just passing on what was said this morning on 1040.

Excerpt from TSN.

As for Keith, he faces a disciplinary hearing with the NHL - one that was originally supposed to be via conference call on Friday at 2pm et/11am pt.

The NHL originally indicated to Chicago and Keith that the hearing would be a phone hearing, which would limit any suspension to five games or less.

Later on Thursday, the league told Chicago and Keith that it wanted the hearing to be in person - where there would be a potential for a ban of six or more games.

Keith has neither confirmed his presence for an in-person hearing or waived his right to an in-person to just do it by phone.

There will be no decision on that until Friday morning.

This may be a situation where the media attention focused on the incident will force them to live up to the "tranparency" that was promised.

First time poster here. After watching the game two nights ago I had to join a board to discuss it (more so to vent). I saw Keith's dirty hit, but I missed what Danny did to cause the retaliation. Here's the clip incase any else missed it (you'll have to scroll down a little to view it).

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck- ... more-28237

Keith should have gotten a misconduct, kicked out of the game. Just a 2-minute minor was bullcrap!! After watching this clip, Danny got away with one too (probably should have gotten a minor for it). But it wasn't NEARLY as bad though. I kind of wished Danny would have played it clean, then none of this crap would be going on, b/c Keith would have no reason to head hut DS.

Any chance Danny gets a game?? If that happens, I would think Keith will be sitting the rest of the regular season.
