Does anyone here remember their very first post?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

A squealer, far worse than a tyrant.

2. The Open Forum was not for the faint of heart.

3. Hjumaeni and Pot were/are very easy to incite to wrath as they took/take everything so personally.

4. As far as mods went, Lever was a fucking tyrant. :P
Pot always "smile" and it freaking drove me nuts 8-)

The open forum was a little over the top but there was some very good religion/country/economy discussions. They always went personal and then the topic went down hill from there.

I was a little upset with never winning the cup and would sometimes a little over react, now the drugs kick in and I relax :mex:

Agreed! The lady-folk hated it when things got personal causing topics to go "over the top".

Yeah, I think "always went personal" is a little over the top.

I don't remember my first post, but I remember being chewed out in the Open Forum in the post Seahawks/Steelers Super Bowl thread when I simply asked if people thought the officiating actually cost the Hawks the game?

It was a rather innocuous post, but seeing as I may have had a handful of posts at that time, I was prime for the picking by some of vultures in the OF.

Before I began posting at Central, I lurked around for almost a couple of years and loved reading posts of old-timers going at it. Finally I signed up an account and waded into the posting.

It was a pretty tumultuous time, there was an influx of new posters after the lock-out, and I'm pretty sure I was clumped in with the rest of the new trash until I got to know people better.

Man, some of those battles in HT and even the OF I got into the first couple of years makes the Corner look like a play-pen...and I was the more mild-tempered and less cutting type of asshole.

How do you get personal on an anonymous message board?

it can happen depending on what frame of mind you are in when you post/read.

Sounds like a handicap, folks should be more guarded of their insecurities.
