Quick start. Hansen's got one, let's hope Raymond can bump his considerable slump also...
And then takes out the glass... pretty good first 2 shifts for the Great Dane.

The fan behind the glass got absolutely smoked by the pane of the glass.

Nothing but intent to injure on that play. He was throwing the elbow from the get go. Should be further discipline if they want to truly get rid of deliberate head shots.

We're gonna be regretting having such an awful PP in the first. If we score after the Keith elbow, it's sweet revenge. Otherwise it just makes the Hawks more likely to keep giving us chances...mathonwy wrote:Duncan Keith must die

But Duncan Keith is a star!!tantalum wrote:Nothing but intent to injure on that play. He was throwing the elbow from the get go. Should be further discipline if they want to truly get rid of deliberate head shots.
Couldn't agree more... that's a dirty hit. That's a Matt Cooke circa last year type hit.
It's not Keith's first rodeo at being a dirty player....

One of these days, Hansen's balls will drop.

This is one of those games where it really doesn't matter if they win by the score, but instead the goal should now be to dump the puck to Keith's corner every time he is on the ice, and attempt to plaster him every time. Late, early, on-time - whatever - and don't worry about taking penalties.
This is no longer the game to get back to winning form, but instead to show the league that you can't take out a Canuck star player like that. I hope another NHL star doesn't have a concussion.
I like how the panel didn't even question why it was only 2 minutes - that is most certainly a joke.

Thing is S_C if they did those things it would likely get them back to the winning ways as it would be a team coming together in a common cause. I tend to agree. They should be running Hawks all night now. The best would be continually run them in a clean manner so there are no penalties just hard hits that make the Hawks think twice about touching the puck. Dare I say...put a bounty on his head.
Given the way the canucks treat head shots I would imagine that Daniel is done for the night and potentially tomorrow night as well (symptoms or not). They won't risk a second hit type of scenario.

They DID say it was suspendable, but I agree it should have been more than 2.Southern_Canuck wrote: I like how the panel didn't even question why it was only 2 minutes - that is most certainly a joke.
If that was Sidney Crosby getting a hit, it'd be 5+game and a 10 game suspension.
Screw Keith, I would really like Alberts to take a hard, high run at Pat Kane. Then maybe Weise can cheap shot Hossa or Sharp. Send them all to blow Toews in the press box. Let them know it can go tit for tat. Ahhhh if only it worked that way in real life... or we were any good at playing Bruins hockey...

The panel is neutered - I guess they are ALSO muzzled by the league in order to keep their contracts with the league. Can't have the broadcaster coming on and criticizing the officials - even though even a village idiot could have seen that it was 5 + game for that predatory hit.Island Nucklehead wrote:They DID say it was suspendable, but I agree it should have been more than 2.
What kind of official is too stupid or corrupt to make that call?

What's the point of taking pitty-pat "slashing" calls (barely touched him), or a roughing call where the guy is still skating around after? If you're going to take the penalties, make them count.
The officials chose to leave Keith in the game - I say Open Season.
