The Steven Reinprecht Thread!

Post by Arachnid »

So...does he get the call up for the playoffs? He's having a decent year on the Wolves and some good SCF playoff experience with the AVs...I've always liked his game, excellent depth pick-up by MG. If a centre goes down, Steve's the man....

lol @ "THE" Steven Reinprecht thread.

Likely to be the greatest hockey board thread of all freaking time.

:P

I think GMMG had always planned to have the lad up for the post season and wouldn't be surprised if he sees some ice somewhere down the line, especially the way our injury situation tends to bloat come playoffs.

As a Canuck fan I am happy to have his veteran experience on the back burner.

In the Chi Wolf report
Steve Reinprecht hasn't scored a goal since the end of January, a stretch of 16 games. He's got just 6 assists in that time as well.
cheers

Even better than the 'Are the Canucks an Elite Team?' thread? 8-)

This was meant to be a starter on who may get the call from Chicago, we are beating to death the existing roster, going round and round on their performance...making it hard to read the board...without puking...

We can look forward to Bitz returning, don't think Schroeder will get the call due to very little post-season experience, on D we have Connauton and Baumgartner, will Sauve be the back-up to the back-ups?

I'll try and top this one

Clearly he's the 3rd Sedin.

LOL - I'm so thrilled knowing that the great Steven Reinprecht will be gracing our line-up very soon. Can't wait.

Maybe every player should get their own thread for the playoffs so we can group the bashing into one neat place.

I am no hockey widow with Inside knowledge....I am just a rat with a gut feeling. Reinprecht will be a valuable asset however far we make it this year.

I get that having his own thread may be a bit much for folks, but hey, that's what a GDHT board is for.

People are loving crapping all over a thread like this, but rats is right - SR just might actually prove to be a valuable depth player in a deep playoff run. And to boot, the arrival of Booth only happened b/c we have an owner that's willing to swallow a significant contract like Reinpecht's in the minors.

What's not to like? If he's a dud, all it costs is some benjie's from Aquaman's fat wallet. No sweat. And the gain was David Booth. Pretty good in my books.

Why posters want to question more weapons in the arsenal is beyond me.

Well, we've pretty much exhausted all other criticism opportunities...

:D

The whipping boy list pretty much has the whole team on it, so we have to expand the pool to include former players and the AHL...!

By the way, if Reinprecht is a weapon, I wouldn't want to bring him to a gun fight! I'll be appearing all week... try the fish.
