Sean Avery told he no longer needs to report to practices with the NYR's AHL affiliate the Conneticut Whale, and that he will not be on the Ranger's post-season roster. I hope he's done in the NHL for good.

Sabres and Canes heading to OT tied at 2. Sabres will have 1 minute of PP time in the extra frame. I've watched a good chunk of the game and holy crap is Hodgson floating. I mean the his effort tonight would have had AV stapling him to the bench by the end of the first. Sabres win it in OT.

Pens and Leafs also tied at 2....err make that 3-2 Pens as the Leafs have blown the 2 goal lead.

Some big games tonight:

1-1 Bruins and Sabres after 2. Hodgson and Ehrhoff combined nicely on a botched pass to allow the Bruins to tie the game.

Devils lead the Islanders 4-1. Michael Grabner is a healthy scratch (though S_C might want to know that)

Flyers all over the Panthers 4-0

Bolts lead the Caps 2-1 in a big game for both.

Jackets beating the Kings 3-1. THe Kings can all of a sudden put pucks in the net but are now having trouble keeping them out.

Sens lead the Rangers 2-1 after 2.

Ducks have taken the lead over the Blues 1-0 early in the second.

Sharks and Stars even halfway through the first.

Wild-Yotes and Oilers-Habs up later.

Good news for the Preds, bad news for the western conference. When he left Radulov was a 50ish point player in the NHL and has further developed his scoring abilities. The Preds basically just got a 70-80ish point guy who is still on his ELC.

Well, sh*t! Probably explains why the Preds did not go out and try to get a bone-fide scorer at the deadline. But, it looks like they will end up in 4th or 5th spot in the conference (can't see them catching St Louis). Which means they will probably play Detroit in the 1st round! Wow! That will be a great series to watch!
