GOOOOO Canada
Hannan, Draper, Theodore to jump into Canada's lineup against Slovakia
MONTREAL (CP) - Scott Hannan, Kris Draper and Jose Theodore will join Canada's lineup Wednesday for a game against Slovakia at the World Cup of Hockey.
Hannan and Draper, who both watched Canada's 2-1 win over the U.S. from the press box on Tuesday, will see their first action of the tournament. Theodore will back up starter Martin Brodeur, replacing Roberto Luongo in that role. The 25-year-old Hannan will play instead of Ed Jovanovski, who left Tuesday's game in the second period with a lower body injury. Jovanovski had an MRI on Wednesday but the results are not yet known.
Draper, a centre for the Detroit Red Wings, will take Brendan Morrow's spot at left wing on a line with Joe Thornton and Shane Doan.
Forwards Kirk Maltby and Patrick Marleau along with defenceman Jay Bouwmeester will sit for the second straight game.
