So as is typical Burke has to lay at least some of the blame on Wilson being fired on other shoulders. Just like the goaltender graveyard in vancouver, leaf fans are partially responsible with how they treated Wilson the last little while.

What he meant to say was "I'd like to thank Leafs fans for making this easy" but just in a more PC way.

Of course he'll make a pitch for SChneider and then when Gillis trades him to Tampa for a much better package Burke will be incredulous and express outrage on how an unproven goaltender could go for so much.

Yep, the Blue Jackets, Oilers,* Panthers * (My fingers are crossed), Atlanta/Winnipeg, NY Islanders, and Colorado Avalanche will have all made the playoffs at least once since then. This leaves the leaves as the last one standing.

Go Panthers!!!

Already covered in the Fun Facts thread there Mr M. :D

I find it hard to believe Carlyle was given a three year contract at $1.7 per season. Plus of course they give Wilson an extension only a month earlier. I'm surprised that the Teachers Pension fund can put up with this sh!t
cheers
