Meh, Ballard's OK by me, still not high level top 4, but 4.5 on this team. He's appreciably better and more consistent than last year.

The other two, well...when you feel better that Rome is coming back, that says it all. Pretty clear after this road trip that MG will be looking for a depth D and a depth forward as insurance.

Meh it is what it is.

Thursday's game could be ugly. 4th game in 6 nights 2 of which are against Boston and Boston of the west, the St. Louis Blues who are on a tear right now. It will be a good test for the boys but I will forgive them if they lose, fingers crossed for no more injuries.

Not thrilled with the scheduler on this trip.

At least Schneider can win SO games. :?

Pretty hard to get something without giving up, unless you want to trade picks. :|
All the trade scenarios I've seen here seem to involve packaging up a bunch our depth players (Hodgson, Schneider, Raymond etc) for a decent player, which reduces our depth.
Otherwise if we're trading for a 12th forward or a 7th D man, what's the point?

With Booth & Rome coming back things should be better.
Hopefully we'll get Ebett, Volpatti & Salo back for the playoffs.
And they still have Tanev in the AHL

Even worse when none of them was the worst on the ice.

Agreed.

This team needs a break.

Agree with Benjo about the sched... although said sched looks good for March/April.

Take the Blues to win on Thursday.

Actually Ballard, Sulzer and AA were even or better tonight. KB3 was -1 did not have a very good game especially early on. The goats in this one were the Sedins, not because they did not score, but because they were on ice for 2 against. Shifts were too long and they were gassed. Two really bad changes allowed the Lightning to come back.

Another solid game by Schneids and the 4th line played very well.

Oh yeah, I expect the terrific trio of Ballard, Sulzer and Alberts to be lights out every game.

Blues the BEST home team in the NHL. They are going to be hard to be at Scott Trade.

2nd Row by the Canucks bench, there with a colleague! GO CANUCKS GO!

See ya Thursday Peeps!... or at least look for me on the tube. ;)

With everything adding up to a poor effort by the Canucks at the end of a trip against the Blues, Steen is out with a concussion. That's like starting the game with a 2 goal lead.

Duco scores.

Well, the team has show resiliency after playing a couple of bad games. They have also shown that they can get up for meaningful games. I expect they bring their A game and want to make the statement they are the best tam in the West.

One thing I've never understood about the NHL, why do they write the home team last?
It's very confusing. :?

Is it another one of those things like refusing to use the metric system or the same temperature scale as everyone else? :eh:

(I was going to say customs and tarifs codification as well, but double checked and it seems the US adopted the international standard in 1989)

It's shorthand for: "Edmonton at Vancouver" how we say it in English.

Otherwise we would have to say: "Vancouver playing at home with Edmonton visiting" which would be quite awkward.
