Mike Murphy asks, "Was this against the Kings? No?"
"Well then, although there was no distinct kicking motion, there was a kicking motion - but because I am a corrupt NHL official that reports to Colin Campbell, I will say this is a good goal."

Well, that was a tired team hanging on. They didn't deserve the win the way they played in the 3rd, but they got through it. But man, were they ever off. They better get their air by the time they play St. Louis. They'll get crushed if they don't. Take the 2 points and hike on out of town. And boys...get some sleep!
Is Guy Boucher actually insane? He looks crackers on that bench.
We looked tired in the third. But the twins looked like men against boys but no finish. It is frustrating to watch them blow 3, 2 goal leads like that but getting the SO win is important. Keeps us up on Minny and starts to be distance between us and the rest of the West. Unfortunately with all the teams in the East close behind with a zillion games in hand holding onto the league lead will be difficult. But I'll take it.
It really does show you that we are not that deep on defence with quality D'men. With Salo out it really really shows. Hopefully he won't be gone for long. Even with Rome back soon we still do not have the quality depth we will need to get through. Mg needs to seriously think about upgrading the backend somehow.
The guys looked tired and I do think that the Boston game took a lot out of them physically and emotionally. But a game against St. Louis for the Conference lead should be an important one to them. A regulation win we go up by 5 points, a loss and they are only 1 point back.
