2-0 for Canada so far in the bronze game. Looks like they'll get some medals after all.

Canada's goalie just saved a penalty shot. Still 2-0.

Congrats Per (and Bret H if you're lurking around). Sweden put up impressive shots for and against and that was an awesome OT winner. What happened to Russia? Used their energy up versus Canada? I just don't see how they managed to get so few shots on net. I found Russia a little unsportsmanlike with the media, so I'm happy to see Sweden win - new blood is good... four different winners in the last four years (CAN, USA, RUS, SWE)

Nice job by Canada to play a good Bronze medal game. Way to go boys.

Real feel good story. We've had some highly touted teams the past three years, with players like Hedman, Bäckström, Markström, Pääjärvi-Svensson, etc. Teams that were considered good enough to have a shot at winning it all. Then this year - a team of no-names. The only stars of this cohort - Adam Larsson and Gabriel Landeskog - weren't allowed to go by their NHL teams.

This was the ugly duckling of recent Swedish teams, and they did turn into a beautiful swan and gave us the first WJC gold we've won since 1981! 8-)

And about time! This is Sweden's second WJC gold, and we have like eight or nine silvers... :o

Hey Per, congrats to Sweden. I am glad they have an WJHC title.

I always cheer for Sweden when Canada is down in any international tourney, so this was nice to see.

Mr LB, Lil Blossom and I are already making plans for Malmo 2014 but we're donning the maple leaf, not the three crowns ;)

Yeah, well, it's our second. We won one in 1981 as well, with the Sundström twins scoring all three goals in a 3-2 win against the Soviets! (first two Patrik, GWG Peter) 8-)
