Luongo is a false prophet and his Vezina is a superstition

Luongo has three qualities that are not helpful - one which is admirable, and two which are not.
1) Attempting to draw a penalty with embellishment, instead of just focusing on stopping the puck
2) Taking so much pressure on himself to win a game, that if he allows even a single goal he loses focus, and typically allows another goal soon after.
3) An ego so fragile that being pulled during a game is an insult that would fracture his relationship with the team
#1 quality flat out sucks
#2 quality is admirable, but ultimately is inferior to a goalie that puts any GA behind him quickly, and provides a consistent high standard of play
#3 quality only works if you're Patrick Roy

Luongo needs to learn from Price....Price drew two penalties for his team with embellishment. Neither time was a puck coming towards him that he might let in.

I guess horse collaring is legal in the NHL now...
I didn't get the memo.

The Kesler line looks great!
Nice to see that ol' chemistry coming back between Raymond and Kesler.

“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Raymond is looking for corners so far this year...not crest hunting!

Luongo with a shitty first 22 minutes followed by a terrific final 43 and shootout.

Cody!! Mad skills on that kid. He'll be an 80 point player in 3 years, already on track for better rookie seasons than the twins and kes.

Mason Raymond saying Luo's struggled in shootouts.
Bold Mason. Very bold. I like it.

Our shot blocking and box out was pathetic in the first period.
Raymond looked good. Hope he can keep it up.
Lu stuck with it.

Honestly, when Cole scored, I thought the Canucks were toast in this game. Sure, I thought they maybe could cut the deficit a little, but I didn't think they would come back to win.
Gotta hand it to them, they kept coming and surprisingly won a shootout.
I especially loved how the TSN pro-Montreal commentators thought that the Weise penalty on Price was warranted, and not a dive, but the Eller penalty on Burrows was definitely a dive by Burrows. Oh, and it took a late TSN graphic before they realized that Vancouver had come back from 3 down --- before that they had made multiple references to the Canucks coming back from 2-0 and 3-1 deficits. Nice job, idiots.
