There was a ton of games we won last year where we weren't the best team on the ice. This would be a good example of that. A make-up for the Nashville game?

I know the game is over, but does anyone else feel Ballard has settled into a good simple game?

May not have deserved to be up by 2 after 2 but they really nailed this game down in the third.

On Ballard....last 8 games (including tonight) he has 3 assists and is +6.

Geez Varlamov gets beat high glove side more than Luongo.

Edler up to 4th in D scoring now.

Oreo just isn't tough. That's okay, a minor league career is still pro hockey.

Hansen is emerging, I hope he can keep it up.

Goaltending looks solid, Higgins and Lou will be back.

The real question mark is Booth's injury.

Ballard has been more responsible the last few games, making more of the the smart plays. Nice to see him on the 4 on 4 with the Sedins.

Oreo was game against Obrien, but he needs some help with the fighting skills.

The good, the bad, the ugly:

The good:

PK perfect
5 on 5 scoring no problem
more points from the defence
Dank with 3
Hansen with 2 more, matching his career high of 9
Luongo and Bieksa seem OK
S/O for Luongo and Cory

The bad:

PP looked dismal until the third
No show for 2 periods
Bieksa lost a tooth on an accidental elbow
Oreo just ain't tough enough

The ugly:
The hit on booth and his injury. Lets hope is thigh not knee
The only HW the Canucks need

Well, at least Oreo fights in his first game back and Weise just sits there and keeps watching, like he was when Volpatti had to do all the fighting between the two. I mean, what the fuck is Weise's role here if he isn't fighting, well first off, he can't fight like Oreo can't fight, but if he ain't fighting what fucking good is the guy? The dude won't even lay out a hit. He's useless.

Booth is getting an MRI today on his knee. Let's hope for some good news.

Beat me to it.

I would have been happy with a 15 goal season from him but he could easily surpass that. The departure of Sammy and Sturm along with the Raymond injury and Malhotra's struggles put him with some higher caliber linemates and he's making hay with it.

Oh, come on for Chrissake!

The Canucks play a sucky game and still beat the Avalanche 6-0!

Booth gets injured from a predatory nasty tackle!

Luo is holding the fort, keeping us in a game that we don't deserve to be in, gets run and is hurt, Schneider replaces him and continues the lockdown, the two Jennings winners combining for a shutout.

Daniel Sedin scores a freaking hat trick.

Hansen, I'm not making this up, a Dane, scores two goals!

Most people agree that Ballard plays a good game.

And all you can muster is two pages?

Seriously, folks! Sheesh! :scowl:
