NFL Thread: Thoughts on the game south of the 49th

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

I'm a Cards fan. They are a team in serious need of a QB. Having a great player like FitzGerald with no one getting him the ball, kind of reminds me of Iggy without a centre.

Timmy can't throw but he sure is winning.

I don't know how long it's going to last, but it's fun watching the Raiders fans squirm as the Broncos climb up the ladder in the AFC West.

Tebow Magic.*sarcasm*

Manning sweepstakes looks like Denver, Arizona and Miami are the front runners.

Hmmm... As much of a roller coaster it was to watch Tebow play last year, I'd be estactic if the Broncos could land Peyton Manning.

...tough to see him going there LB simply because of conditions weather wise.

Been a dome QB his entire career as we all know.

Gotta think AZ or MIA are the favs.

Tennessee is going to make a huge offer I would think (owner Bud Adams has intimated if he does nto get Pyton he will not be a happy man) in an effort to bring the ex-Volunteer back to the state.

They've got the O line to satisfy Manning but perhaps not the outside weapons.

Good thing Tebow has a level head.

Stuff like this can screw with a lesser mans head.

An ESPN article actually had Seattle at about 4th in the Manning sweepstakes... has this changed? Weather-wise, although obviously not a dome, Seattle is pretty mild.

I think Seattle is as good an opportunity for him as anywhere else.

Good O line.

Solid running game.

Above average and improving young defense.

Players coach.

Winnable division (especially when Randy Moss rips the Vikings locker room apart  ).

Need another receiver (Reggie Wayne) and it could be a great fit. Sidney Rice is a question mark with respect to health on the negative side.

Still do not think he's going there though.

I believe he ends up a Cardinal.

..now sources are indicating that the Broncos may indeed be in the running and even near the top of the list.

Keep those fingers crossed LB.

Calvin Johnson (26 years old for those who do not know and tagged as Megatron by many) signs a 7 year 132 million (60 mill guaranteed) deal with the Lions...

...nice work if you can get it.

While, in other news, Brandon Marshall continues to fuck things up.

I can't see Manning playing for the Shithawks. A team that might have made some sense before they got Carson Palmer was Oakland .

Perhaps LB will be a happy camper after all.

He hadn't worked out for anyone but said he would if necessary. Apparently Mr. Elway is in the running.

The Miami Dolphins are out of the chase for Peyton Manning, and the quarterback planned to work out Friday for the Denver Broncos, people familiar with the negotiations said.

A person confirmed to The Associated Press that Manning phoned the Dolphins on Thursday to advise them he'll sign elsewhere, and the team will turn its attention to free agent quarterback Matt Flynn.

Another person told the AP Manning was to work out at Duke for the Broncos.

The people spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the workouts have remained private and the Dolphins haven't talked publicly about negotiations.

Early Friday morning, Broncos executive John Elway was seen at the Centennial, Colo., airport. The same plane that picked up Manning for a session with Denver last week was en route to the Raleigh-Durham area, where Manning has been rehabilitating from neck surgeries.

Breaking News... God Picks Another NFL Team to Cheer For!

It appears the man upstairs (Elway) will no longer have to bear his horse teeth into a forced grin. He is putting all his faith in Peyton The Manning as the true savior, to a reported tune of $90+ Million over 5 years (also included in the deal, a signing bonus of 72 virgins). Manning is now taking his talents to Denver, ready to re-stake his claim to being the best QB in the family.

"There's no way I can let Eli have more rings than me!", says the former Colt's MVP.

It is now expected that the once golden child Tim Tebow, will be forced to exit the pearly gates of Mile High Heaven and find redemption elsewhere. Reports have surfaced that the archangel Tebow is now working with renown quarterback coach Kurt Warner in a local area supermarket stocking shelves in an effort to learn how to throw.

What y'all think? Are the Broncos going El-the-way to the Superbowl with Manning?

Awesome Hank!

Personally I'd keep him. Turn him into a halfback/fullback hybrid and allow for an option game no one else would have.

If Tim goes anywhere you'd think it would be Florida, which means Jacksonville (who drafted Steve Stamk...errr Blaine Gabbert last year so not likely) or Miami who clearly are QB poor (although some would argue that wouldn't change with Tim).

He'd sell tickets anyway.

Gabbert?! I thought that was Erik Karlsson.

What's with mullets making a comeback? Skinny jeans and mullets... I lived that in the 80's.
