So if Cody goes to Chicago who plays in the top 9Topper wrote:Again, did I claim King is an All Star in comparison to Cody? It certainly does not look that way from the quote you found.
Yes, on the fourth line wing, Ebbett is a better option than Cody.
With no Cody and Ebbett on the 4th line we have;
Sedins / Burrows
Booth / Kesler / ???
Higg / Manny / Hansen
Ebbett / Lappy / Weise
Volpatti
If Ebbet is the 4th line wing who replaces Hodgson in the top 9.
Please post a line up.

Based upon what AV has had recentlyPotatoe1 wrote: So if Cody goes to Chicago who plays in the top 9
Sedins Hansen
Higgins-Kesler-Burrows
was the top 9 he started with last night.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Nice try ducking the question.Topper wrote:Based upon what AV has had recentlyPotatoe1 wrote: So if Cody goes to Chicago who plays in the top 9

I didn't say who was in the top6, I said "who is in the top9 if Ebbett is on the 4th line and Cody is sent down".
Post your top 12 so we can all continue laughing at your ridiculous position here.
PS. I don't see any personnel attacks here but in all honesty if I were doing this poorly in a debate I might ask the mods for help too. Perhaps you should PM Brian (smile)

Well, obviously the premise of the argument is opposite - that's what makes it dissimilar...Potatoe1 wrote:If anyone disagrees with this feel free to speak up.tantalum wrote: You're like S_C and Ballard.
-a pin drops-
I agree with the coaching decision to limit Ballard's icetime, whereas Topper is disagreeing with the coaching decision to give Hodgson icetime.

Pot, Topper - get a room thread already.
On the more general topic of the game that was last night, it was curious to hear Henrik in his post game suggest they played pretty well (though I think he was comparing it to the Minnesota "effort"). This reminded me of when he said the same thing last November after they lost to Phoenix 3-2 the day after the 7-1 Chicago massacre. One of those "good effort" losses where you know you're ready to break through the funk.
Though we should likely take his words as a good sign, I just don't have the same read on the team this year. I still say it's too early to worry, but the structure, discipline and chemistry just aren't there. And unlike last year when they were struggling, those glimpses of brilliance and dominance aren't as obvious to me right now.
BTW - 5 points behind last year's pace....doesn't sound too bad considering how the season ended, but can we really count on a 11-1-2 December like last year?
Not panicking since the skill is there, but really wanting them to kick it up a notch already!

The only hope of a finals appearance by this years team rests on the Kesler/Booth line..I am giving them both a little slack. Kesler coming off injury and Booth too new to evaluate .
or maybe the twins pitiful checking in the SCF? They continue to lose the puck on offence and are lousy on the backcheck..On the more general topic of the game that was last night, it was curious to hear Henrik in his post game suggest they played pretty well (though I think he was comparing it to the Minnesota "effort").

I thought I'd give you yet another chance to play your strawman game.
Booth-Lappy-Weise
Ebbett-Manny/Cody-Volpatti
Cody on the wing has been dismal. The one problem I see with sitting Manny to recover is we loose a a PK centre. Not surprisingly, Cody is is the one player in the line up whose skates have not touched the ice in a PK situation.
This highlights the injury loss of your second round draft pick.
