Sturm is fucking awful.

Samuelsson is DUH out there.

Hansen is in need of some serious vitamin B shots

Why isn't everyone on the team skating with meaning and desire like Chris Higgins this year so far?

Malhotra is useless.

Bieksa is back in Dumbville again.

And Lou-Flop-O belly is flopping the ice again.

Nice fucking punch Volpatti returned with.

Funny how 2 people hear different things. I find him dreadfully dull and repetitive. And he says the same thing over and over. He repeats himself a lot. He does point out the obvious quite well though.

I think we miss Kesler and Raymond more than we know...

The Sedins are the ONLY forwards that are producing.

Nice work by Hank scoring the PPG.

Sedins have looked very good so far this season, but we miss Kesler somethin' fierce (who wouldn't?). The Canucks just aren't focused. They have flashes of great play, and then mental brain cramps and stupid mistakes that cost them.

Did I miss something? Or did Luongo not make that first cross-crease save... he hasn't been good to start the year, but I don't think we can fault him with either of the first two tonight.

Ballsy fight from Volpatti. Seriously out-sized and he comes back to buckle Sutton's knees.

Bieksa is in fine "just got a contract" form. Casual Kev is back it seems.

At least someone here is in mid-season form.

Salo has done very well on the PP tonight. Rocket shots scored the first and created the second goal. He won't last the whole season (right?! ;) ), but we didn't have the option of keeping Ehrhoff. Having Salo there lessens the loss.

Higgins has been a delight. We rewarded him with a contract and he's rewarded us by being our best forward not named Sedin through 4.5 games.

I've heard him do the Stars games for years. Found him to be the best, funny, knows the game, quick with his commentary amd fair. He's head and shoulders above the other commentators, glad to see him get a shot at HNIC.

Nugent-Hopkins kicked that goal in with a distinct kicking motion. Too bad there wasn't an NHL rule about that, eh?

Of course the love-fest announcers didn't even notice.

It is a touch annoying. They've got a couple greasy PP goals. None of them have exactly been nice... certainly not orgasm on-air nationwide nice.

I guess I long for a colour guy that seems literate. Maybe it's just me.

He is definitely a step up from Weekes.

The Oilers are 2 for 5 on the powerplay, and the Canucks are 2 for 3. Apparently you are allowed to slash the opponents stick in half right in front of the net on a scoring chance - but only if it is a 4th line player.

Luongo improving his save percentage with a scintillating 0.884 in this one. Meanwhile Schneider sits on the bench with his 0.935.
