Ok - the team is getting their legs back and face Detroit in another preseason game. Cory gets the start.

Since not many people care about these early games, as we're all now jaded in our expectations of making the playoffs, most of us will be watching:

Hodgson again to see his progress
Ballard - to see if he's ready for prime time
Schneider - so we can start talking trades
Sturm - to wonder how many games he has left before heading to the Wolves

Is anyone worried about the general lack of cohesiveness? When do we start being concerned? 10 games? 20 games?

It's on 302 [SN1] in Vancouver. I didn't realize that channel costs more, I just assumed it was part of the HD package on Shaw. Baseball on SNet Pacific.

Seriously, I've been offline all day wanting to post about Ebbett in, Volpatti out.

I was going to suggest Lappy on the wing, but now I realize LEFT wing might not be best for him (Weise must play RW).

So yeah now I figure Manny on LW is definitely the way to go....

It makes sense to reward/punish players based on recent performance.

I would've also accepted: Sturm in the pressbox, Volpatti 4th line LW.

Oh c'mon, again with the Ballard thing? He got crossed up with Tanev and got right up and back into position. A weak short-side knuckler beat Schneider.

How come nobody ever pipes up when Edler is again playing crappy and Bieksa puts one right up the middle for the first goal? Or right on Datsyuk's stick on the very next shift? He's going to play 22+ minutes yet again. The Sedins are looking like crap too.
