If we had Gary Smith or Kirk Mclean or King Richard, maybe not suitcase on second thought, we would have won a cup last year. He is ok during teh season but I do not see him as the best we have had. He arrived with the best PR and the series with Dallas years ago gave him some of his rep. Last season's playoffs still have me waking up and screaming "stop the fucking puck you asshole" and scaring my family. Plus, I live in the NE part of Amerika and it contains Bruin fans, one of whom is my friend and a bartender where I go to talk hockey and drink juice (yes, I am one of them) and when I come in I have a room full of drunks telling me about how much the canucks enjoy anal love. However, I did make a big deal over Crosby's goal for the gold so I may have brought some of it on. Maybe. On the other hand why don't the yanks just admit Canadians are better people? they are awkward like that.Corb wrote:^^ yanking him out after 2 goals doesn't help his confidence either
What you see is what you get. With all his warts he's still the best we've ever had.

The problem is, your Humble Opinion sucks. Is Rummy the poster child for 'the Goalie Graveyard' community of Vancouver, "blame everything on the goalie" mentality when you take your team to the 7th game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. No mention here about the walking wounded of the Vancouver Canucks roster for the Stanley Cup finals and just how that may have played a little bit into why this team did not bring home the cup. All great goalies get lit up, just look up and down Martin Brodeurs or Patrick Roy's stats, they are there Rummy. Even the great ones have a bad day on the job every once in a while. They are fucking human like the rest of us.Rumsfeld wrote:
My other point was that the criticism of Luongo is at this point (again, just MHO) valid.
I can't stand the disecting of Roberto Luongo in this city. I guarantee you if we had won the cup instead of losing the 7th game of the Stanley Cup Finals, the Rumsfelds of the world would still find reason to chew up Roberto's game.

Oh look. A self-admitted troll who attacks Canucks players with every post is offended by a Canuck being criticized.RoyalDude wrote:The problem is, your Humble Opinion sucks. Don't worry BD, I know that the real reason you've taken a shine to me this morning has absolutely nothing to do with Roberto Luongo.

Right, so the players responding to the NHLPA poll were just being sarcastic, eh?Carlyee wrote:I agree with Reef to an extent. Luongo is over-rated. Furthermore I get the impression that other players like playing against him. Is he good enough with it all with? Probably, if he keeps the meltdowns to a minimum.
Team Canada WAS stacked Roberto, get over it.
http://www.suite101.com/news/nhlpa-and- ... es-a340748Roberto Luongo, who continues to get flak from the fans in Vancouver, was nonetheless voted the goalie who is 'most difficult to score against'. Louie got 17 percent of the votes, one point more than Buffalo's Ryan Miller, the other goalie in the final of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Third was Tim Thomas, followed by Henrik Lundqvist and Mikka Kiprusoff. No Martin Brodeur in the top five.
Yup, continues to get flak from the fans in Vancouver. They got that right!

They definitely weren't including shootouts!Per wrote:Right, so the players responding to the NHLPA poll were just being sarcastic, eh?Carlyee wrote:I agree with Reef to an extent. Gold medal didn't silence them, I'm not convinced one Cup would do it in this town.Potatoe1 wrote:Rumsfeld wrote: The good news is that all Lou has to do to silence his critics is win a cup!
Kind of crazy standard but basically true.

I will be the 1st to say when I see the Canucks getting into a shootout, I cringe. All shootout woes, I mostly put on the coaching staff. PRACTICE IT!

You only cringe? I just count the loss and watch for entertainment value. Maybe AV figures we get enough points without the extra shootout wins?LotusBlossom wrote:I will be the 1st to say when I see the Canucks getting into a shootout, I cringe. They don't play until Monday, perhaps they should work on the shootout during open practice today. Give AV some good PR! "See we practice the shootout!" Highly doubt it.Cornuck wrote:You only cringe? Roberto Luongo is a nice guy and great in the community.RoyalDude wrote: I can't stand the disecting of Roberto Luongo in this city.
However he stunk the joint out on opening night.
He's a fantastic NHL goalie, but is mentally fragile.
He needs people to constantly pump his tires or he falls apart.
He needs a good psychiatrist.

Some 2.1 billion ( for details see This link).Cookie La Rue wrote:Just watched the game "on demand" and i'm not worried, this is a team which is going deep again.
They were better than the Pens and just had to bury their chances, normally an easy win and now 1 point lost.
Ballard as a nearly equal substitute to Ehrhoff, who the fuck is Christian ?

I'm confident I could help him become a major asshole and learn to focus.LotusBlossom wrote:Are you offering your services, Doc?Strangelove wrote:Roberto Luongo is a nice guy and great in the community.RoyalDude wrote: I can't stand the disecting of Roberto Luongo in this city.

Screw the community, we need a Cup.
I'd prescribe some acid first, perhaps the game would slow down for him??
