Finally! They're trotting out the big guns
2nd line of Sturm, CoHo, Samuelsson -- should be interesting to see which one can't keep up...
And it's hard to tell where the 3rd line ends... and the 4th line begins...
Prolly be some mix-n-match'n happening down on the pond.

Sedins look... well, awesome. First three shifts they had possession almost their entire shift each time.
Sturm and Samuelsson looking overly casual, lots of unecessary giveaways.
Volpatti (or was it Oreskovich?) handcuffs Tanev at the Canuck blueline for a giveaway that results in an Anaheim possession and almost a goal.
Edler an Salo with a few shots from the point that are either breadbasket, or miss the net, or blocked. Salo missed a glorious chance high and wide.
Looking a little rusty.

I thought it was just in Edmonton that this was a problem.Jovorock wrote:Wish I could watch, they have the Braves and Philly on SN. Piss me off

Duco was beaten badly by Fowler in the Vancouver zone, Fowler walks in - tries for a goalmouth pass, the puck deflects in off Mancari.
1-0 Ducks
Play starts going end-to-end, and Ryan scores on a long wrist shot.
One thing hasn't changed about Luongo from last year's playoffs - as soon as one goes in, about minute or two later there will be another.

302 is supposedly being worked on, the Canucks game should be on there when an important event like a Braves/Phillies game is on. Now I am even happier Atlanta lost the Thrash.rats19 wrote:I got baseball too...frik

Oreskovich with a solid pass diagonally to Bieksa at the point, he wrists one at the net, and Henrik tips it in.
2-1 Ducks
Volpatti hits Cogliano into the boards - pretty fierce hit... Shanahan?
Sheldon Brookbank comes after Volpatti, they mostly wrestled.

Haha - the Sedins work their asses off on the boards to keep possession, and finally back to Alberts - who feebly gives it away into the slot.
OK, powerplay. Last year's elegant neutral zone drop pass on the powerplay entry - not looking so elegant without Ehrhoff.
After the Canucks go up on a 2-man advantage, Salo blast one in with a Burrows screen. What's that you say - Burrows on a powerplay? Pre-season? Or a new wrinkle? Even saw Hodgson out there briefly when Luongo came to the bench making it 6-on-4.
Interesting that AV's first choice was Hodgson in that situation, not Samuellson or Sturm - or even Schroeder.
2-2

Tanev looking extremely solid in his own zone, winning the puck, and making surehanded passes.
Now they break out, and Daniel somehow sets up Alberts on a breakaway off a give and go! And of course he fumbles it right into Hiller. But still - how did that even happen?

Ugh, long slapshot from Visnovsky on the powerplay, unscreened goes through the wickets.
Another bad goal.
3-2 Ducks.
