Wow - what a brilliant rush by Connauton! Gets away a very unexpected wrister, but didn't score.
Then Lapierre opportunistically in front with a point blank chance. Hiller is either good or lucky, but the Canucks can't seem to put one by him.

Quite the rush, I really liked Hodgson's cycling in the corner right before that. It's a shame neither of his wingers seem to be interested in getting open for him.Southern_Canuck wrote:Wow - what a brilliant rush by Connauton! Gets away a very unexpected wrister, but didn't score.

Ah, Duco nowhere to be seen on LW in the defensive zone as Fowler walks in and buries it. Schroeder desperately tried to make it there to cover, but Fowler made it look easy.

Holy - Parent with another unbelievably bad giveaway. He's making Connauton look like a defensive specialist.
Back on the last powerplay, Sturm showed some signs of vision and passing ability, unfortunately the Canucks don't have their top talent dressed to help.

Perry vs Parent in front of the net - who wins? WHO WINS?

It's hard to fault Parent - because Perry outmuscles most NHL defencemen to score - however, Parent was unable to tie up Perry's stick on the 3rd Anaheim goal on the powerplay.
...and shortly after, he makes a bad pinch, leaving his D partner Ballard to defend a 2 on 1, and Ballard doesn't take away the pass... then Gordon scored with a great shot glove side off the post.
Bubble players against NHL players is producing a fairly predictable result.
4-0 Anaheim.

Marionettes are cool, hardly a 'personal attack'. In fact, marionettes aren't even people. Neither are opinions, so attacking those isn't personal either.Southern_Canuck wrote:Hank, I'd cool it with the personal attacks against me.Hank wrote:But your marionette SC can't see the difference when KB4 has to fight off 2-on-1s all night because your boy, the future ROY, is bone-headedly caught in the corners looking for quarters once again. SC gets easily distracted by Magic40 in his vision and his fingers are ready to start a new onerous 100-plus page thread.
And, on to the game...
I thought Hodgson was going to bag one with that slapshot - nice save by Hiller. I like how he is skating and working hard.

Lee/Weekes are giving play by play/commentating a completely different game tonight I'm pretty sure.

Well, the 3rd powerplay unit for the Canucks doesn't look very good.
Luckily, they will never have to use a 3rd powerplay unit.

Hey, he took the extra penalty, but he stood up for himself, and took Getlaf off the ice for 5... I don't know, but I kind of like Duco.

I think Duco and Oreo get a longer look while Mancari's time looks like it's running out.

Parros runs over Schneider, and nobody does anything.
Somewhere Colin Campbell smiles.

Greg Millen: "I don't think George Parros knows where the goalie is on this play, he just skates through the crease."Southern_Canuck wrote:Parros runs over Schneider, and nobody does anything.

Schroeder with a good pass from the half boards on the powerplay to Connauton who puts it in with an accurate shot!
4-1 Anaheim.
