Pinozzotto vs Alex Plante... both landing punches, but Plante with the size advantage...
Fight night in Edmonton - at least that suits the roster - next Schroeder vs. Eberle?

With the 2-man advantage just over, it's a nice passing play Ebbett to Mancari to Nolan who slams it home.
1-0 Canucks
Speculation: Duco fight next...?

Horcoff is terrible
Cody stronger and faster.
Close s_c, Duco went for Hall

And we have a winner...sort of...Duco wanted to go... and he had no problem going with Smyth LOLSouthern_Canuck wrote:With the 2-man advantage just over, it's a nice passing play Ebbett to Mancari to Nolan who slams it home.

Ummm... how did the Canucks end up 2-men short?
Bad call on Sulzer for holding - clearly an even up.
Then Duco gets a double minor for basically hitting Hall, whereas Peckham only gets a 10 min misconduct for coming off the bench?
NHL refereeing at its best.

OK - how much did Nolan help his cause by scoring on the powerplay?
Possibly an option for the "front of the net" role on either the 1st or 2nd unit?
I don't think any of the other fringe NHLers competing for the 4th line can play that role as well as Nolan... so I think that's a big positive for Nolan's quest to make the team.

Hodgson has play 4:32 in the 1st period...that's about what he gets for a game when he's called up

Hordichuk running around - tries to take out Pinozzotto against the boards near center ice but misses.
Same old Hordichuk.

TSN shows he got 6:08 in the 1st ~ averages out to 18 or so. Not bad provided he plays well enough to justify it.LotusBlossom wrote:Hodgson has play 4:32 in the 1st period...that's about what he gets for a game when he's called up

Lack leaves the game with 10 saves on 10 shots - not too many great chances against, but has yet to allow a goal in his two appearances in the pre-season.
Canucks 1 for 4 and Edmonton 0 for 3 on the powerplay...
Probably time for another fight soon.

Duco beats Danis on his own rebound shorthanded...!
Who knew?
2-0 Canucks
Oh. Now Eberle scores with Parent and Baumgartner both backing in.
2-1 Canucks

Fedoruk and Hordichuk trying to improve on their square dance from earlier.
Fairly even.
How much Hordichuk could a Fedoruk chuck if a Fedoruk could chuck anymore? Goodbye Todd, and good luck.
