No I dont think so. I believe he has to be 20 by a certain date. I don`t know what the date is but jensen is only 18 so he aint playing for the wolves this year. Unless of course I am wrong...

I'm not certain but I believe that rule only applies to NA born players and not Euro/Russians.

edit I found this on HF Boards, credit to ratsgirl

There is a private agreement in place between the NHL and the CHL that governs when a player coming from the CHL can play in the AHL. A player from the CHL has to either turn 20 by December 31st of the season (ie a player born in 1987 can start playing in the 2007-08 season, a player born in 1988 can start playing in the 2008-09 season etc.) OR have completed 4 seasons of junior eligibility. This agreement also covers European players if they are drafted out of the CHL (Examples would be players like Petr Vrana and Ivan Vishnevskiy). Also - CHL players are eligible to play in the AHL once their junior season is over (either by virtue of their junior team not making the playoffs or being eliminated from the playoffs) even if they don't yet meet the age or eligibility criteria listed above.

Is the tradition here to do GDT's for pre-season?

There is a GDT forum right under the hockey talk forum. They have a young stars tourny thread so I think pre season would be fine to Corb... Unless of course I am wrong...

I assume Flames fans are projecting several superstars in the making based on a 5-1 game against scrubs. Never had a chance to listen in or anything but heard Hodgson had a good game and was clearly the best on his line.

Interesting, interesting... I wonder if AV noticed the fantastic positioning and coverage from his boy Aaron? I TRUST that he did, but he probably only noticed the ahem, beautiful assist to #15 (who suddenly seems to have great hands!) for the tap-in. All is forgotten for the other MINUSES.

May the player who performs best get to play, which of course, has ALWAYS been the philosophy our ever humble, NEVER arrogant coach. Hopefully MG can shore up the defensive depth enough so he can exterminate the last remaining coach's pet.

Btw, did #8 not look great out there? Weird to see that number on him. For a moment I thought Big Willie was back.

I'm racist that way. 77 is already Nolan.
