Probable lines for the Young Stars matchup with Edmonton tonight at 7:30:

Sweatt - Schroeder - Rodin
Archibald - Friesen - Jensen
Anthony - Longpre - Grenier
Rai - Curtis - Lessard

And on defence, Frankie Corrado will be paired with Kevin Connauton...

In early play
- Erixon (50) looking very Hamhuis-like, lots of small smart plays.
- Rodin (43) recklessly driving into the slot, he is going to get levelled if he keeps that up (just like his WJC play)
- Connauton (61) almost split the Edmonton D on a rush, he looks keyed up for this game
- Lessard (70) almost dipsy doodled one in tight on the first powerplay.
- Sweatt (42) and Schroeder (45) with a nice rush on the 2nd powerplay, Schroeder showing good speed.
- Jensen (46) to Archibald (49)! Nice pass.

1-0 Canucks

I think it is Grenier... Longpre is 68 and Anthony is 71 on that line.

Bad angle goal by Hamilton on Honzik from the boards.

1-1

Hamilton is showing signs of life but I haven't heard RNH's name since the first shift.

Canuck prospects looked pretty good in the 1st.

Honzik may have let in the bad angle goal, but he robbed Hamilton in front off of a beautiful pass by Nugent-Hopkins.

Erixon played with poise, and the Sweatt-Schroeder-Rodin line has a ton of speed, and Lessard (who the hell is he?) was super quick, too.

Archibald and Jensen had the play on the goal, and later Archibald set Jensen up with a sneaky pass to the side of the net for a chance - it would be neat to see those two develop chemistry (imagining them as Kesler's future wingers...hahaha)

Is this where everyone is posting for the game? :D, I'll just copy/paste from the gdt.

I'm liking Jensen's play so far, seems a bit more refined compared to Rodin already, miniscule sample size by far but imo by October he could surpass Rodin on the prospect chart. :wow:

But I give Rodin the benefit of the doubt, as some swede's take years to develop, I just foresee Jensen developing a lot faster than him.

Liking Corrado's play as well.

Good to see Schroeder and Sweatt have some chemistry instantly and obviously, they should have a great season with the Wolves.

Honzik looked shaky a bit, which is expected, but made one helluva a save!

Still wanting Suave to play a more dominant game.

RNH looks confident out there imo.

I think what you're seeing there is the difference between playing in North America to learn the North American style game vs. playing in Sweden. I know Per will blow a gasket :) but Rodin would be further ahead if he had come to play in the CHL - like Edler.

Agreed,

Time to double shift Schroeder/Sweatt and Jensen/Archibald.

Canucks rookie d, playing exactly like that tonight, however the super prospects on the Oilers are killin' it tonight, especially Nuggy - dude is looking like the real deal.

Wow - bad line change, coverage errors on PK, poor goaltending, and getting outhustled.

The second period was not the best! Down 7-1.

Still - there were signs of life from Sweatt-Schroeder-Rodin, Sweatt generating a great opportunity with a speed move to the outside and clever pass, and Archibald and Jensen continued to work well together in the offensive zone. When they let Friesen carry it through the neural zone, though, he loses possession.

Hannay held his own in the fight - other dude kept his face shield on. Weird.
