My prediction is every thread in 2011-2012 will end up being about Ballard.

Seriously, I think Flames fans are less disappointed in their team. All it took for us to lose the SC in 7 games was several key injuries, a Conn Smythe, Vezina winning opponent and the Ballard trade. Apparently George Carlin was right: think how stupid the average person is then realize half the population is even stupider.

We lead the league in most statistical categories all year. And yes, we suffered some very serious and numerous injuries at the wrong time. And oh ya, that travel thingy does have an impact. But these are not excuses just realities of playing on the West Coast. Facts. And yet still I think we were the better team, except for a few key injuries.

2) After Raymond’s recovery from his back injury, he can’t regain his skating speed, and languishes on the 4th line and in the press box for the duration of the year. The Canucks do not qualify him and he becomes an UFA - so the Boychuk hit essentially ends his career.

A couple of month ago I saw Hamhuis in the grocery store and was thinking of congratulating him on a very good season personally and for the Vancouver Canucks. I let him shop in peace, but HW, your comment nailed it.

Well, I'm sure he wouldn't have thought much of it had you removed your glasses. Well, aside from you refusing to shave your playoff beard that is.
Yeah, maybe it was for the best... good thinking Top.
