User Control Panel (top right)
Private Messages tab
Inbox or Outbox
Tick the boxes (marks the messages)
Drop down menu bottom right, select "Delete Marked"

thnx silver....however these are instruction to delete box...or messages within box.. as I stated there is room as box is 56% full only. I have made new files to moved read pms too . I was at 24/25 when a couple pms came in. they both went on hold for some reason so i removed about 10 pms to new saved folder and now have tons of room but cant figure out how to release the ones on hold

here is what it says:You have 2 private messages currently on hold because of full folder.
Release all on-hold messages… they will be re-sorted into the appropriate folder if enough space is made available.

Can't help you there my friend - I keep my PM boxes empty (except at HF, where my capacity is 1000, making me lazy), so I've never had a "hold" status.
