Ok, the big question is: Will the Sedins start getting points? Probably not a lot in this low scoring game. AV had Burrows back with them at practice, so a change might be good. Also, do we really need Kesler and Burrows on the same against the Preds?

I know its crazy...but why not leave Burrows w/ Kesler and try Hodgson w/ the Sedins. He's more their speed and is also very smart w/ the puck. Worth a shot.

Definitely worth a shot, but I'm not sure what Sammuelson can do on the third line.

Could work.. at least Hodgson showed the guts to go to the net.. or another wild one ..Put Torres up with the Sedin's at least it would give them more room.. and again Raffi would go to the net..ClamRussel wrote:I know its crazy...but why not leave Burrows w/ Kesler and try Hodgson w/ the Sedins. The idea of breaking up Kesler / Burrows just isn't that bright.. its now our #1 line ...good offensively and defensively

Whether or not the Vancouver Canucks will have veteran defenceman Sami Salo back in the lineup for Game 3 against the Nashville Predators will be a game-time decision.

All I hear about is how much Nashville has become a hot hockey market of late and that they hold an incredible home ice advantage because of this (notably from Pierre McGuire and to a lesser extent Tim Wharnsby, and other reporters).
I'm hoping the Canucks come out flying. Make it a 3-1 win (since I bet on the under). Rinne has to crack at some point. He didn't look all that good against Anaheim so there's proof he can be human at times.

What do ou think he can do on the fourth?the toucan kid wrote:Definitely worth a shot, but I'm not sure what Sammuelson can do on the third line.
Hopefully the Canucks have friendly sources on the Ducks, Carlyle claimed they found his weakness. Judging by the scoring they demonstrated at times in that series I don't doubt him.Linden Is God wrote:I'm hoping the Canucks come out flying. Make it a 3-1 win (since I bet on the under). I feel like they need to get him moving more side-to-side. But, it's just a guess. Another thought is to establish control in the zone and hold the shot until they have someone headed for the net. I lot of what I've seen is: gain the zone (usually easily), get a shot away, but have Rinne direct it into the corner and Nashville clears the zone. The shot's from the perimeter and we don't get a rebound.
RE: Samuellson - wasn't he looking decent in the OT w/ the Sedins? The tricky thing about line-juggling is knowing when not to do it, as much is it is when to do it. You might see Samuellson start with the Sedins on a short rope. Otherwise, I agree with experiments with Burrows and Hodgson. [I'm not a coach - at least not in this sport - nor do I play one on TV]
Just win, dammit. At least 3-1.

Where's the Samuelson sniper that we saw in last year's playoffs?
But I agree with Puck, we need to be more inventive than a 30 foot shot with no follow up.

It was so awfully nice of Luo to get his leg out of the way of that puck eh?
Have you ever seen a worse replay?

If ANYone deserved 2 goals tonight, it was Kesler.
