Bike Lanes: Yea or Nay?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Bike Lanes: Yea or Nay?

Post by rockalt »

Hi Everyone,

Posting all too infrequently these days but here goes nothing!

I am posting this as a request for a favour more than anything else but I thought given the recent announcement of the latest Vancouver bike lane in Kits, this might be of interest.

My girlfriend is conducting a survey on biking to work in Vancouver for her MSc dissertation in Urban Planning. Essentially she is analyzing both resident opinion and public policy in the context of the stats on bike use in the latest census.

She has designed the following survey which contains further information about the subject. I don't anticipate it should take longer than 5 - 10 minutes depending on how much you have to say and is open to all Greater Vancouver residents. Anyway, it would be a really great help if any of you could participate, so I thank you in advance. Just let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

As long as they're painted like one big long rainbow I'm fine with it.

LOL! This is exactly why I posted it here! Need more opinions from my unfortunate brethren stuck out in the 'burbs! :mex:

In all seriousness, I figured posting it here might balance out the hippy bike-lovers who are responding in droves!
