MLB playoffs

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! What a shitload of movement.

Freddie Freeman to the Dodgers is pukeworthy. Should have been a Brave for life like Chipper.

Bryant to Colorado makes no sense. Blue Jays improved their team. Still could use a lefty bat though.

Rizzo back to the Yanks is good for both sides.

Watching the Jays today, they have ball team this year!

Should be able to put score anyone, they are fun to watch at bat.

Romano is a beast to face in the 9th. What does he have, 30 consecutive saves?

I don’t hate Buck the person. He’s just a shitty broadcaster. Cancer sucks. Hope he can bootfuck it.

Yeah, I'm ambivalent regarding Buck. Don't care either way.

Of course one hopes he, like anyone besieged by fucking cancer, kicks the shit out of it.

Whenever I hear Bucks name my mind goes to the busted leg gun down at 3rd.

Cool couple of days for a 9 year old Ontario kid who counts the Yankees and Aaron Judge as his favorite team/player.

Nice gesture by a Jay's fan yesterday who grabbed a HR ball hit by Judge and gave it to the kid who responded very emotionally.

Then the lad got to meet Aaron in the Yank dugout before today's outing which was also clearly a huge moment in his life.

It's all out there in digital land for those who care to look.

A real humane moment demonstrating one of the things that sports is all about at its organic core.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Not so much Leves. When you have an opportunity where these money teams are having down years and you shit the bed 2 straight seasons, Canada isn't too happy about that. Loser Jays.

Yeah....I care little for the Blue Jays so no impact on me.

With baseball, at this point, I'm more about the players now.

Watching Ohtani, Rodriguez, De LA Cruz, Acuma et cetera......

The Mets and Padres outspent other teams by 50 to 70 million.

I like the Astros. Don’t care about the cheating bullshit. Everyone cheats in that game. They got pinched. Mr Integrity is a bit nauseating but I love his wife. Altuve and Alverez are straight up studs. Kyle Tucker too. Houston will miss that greasy Latino pitcher who does a line dance in his windup before he delivers. No idea how that is legal.

Don’t count out Texas as it appears Mad Max is toeing up for game 3. That lineup can rake. The Jays should have kept Semien. Seager is awesome.

The Phllies are good. Harper has long been one of my favourite players. That lineup can hit the ball, period. Hopefully they don’t run that Carney out of the pen very often. That dude is spooky looking. He’s Deliverance.

Zona is playing with house money but I like Longoria and would be cool to see him win a WS. Solid player for a long time. Merrill Kelly late round pick, languished in the minors for 5 years then went to Korea for 5 more. Made his debut at 30 and has pitched like a Boss since. I like the two players Toronto gifted to The D-Backs for Daulton Varsho.

Leves I’m with you. There’s so much movement it’s hard to cheer for the jersey. I like players but am partial to some teams, none of whom are in the hunt here.

My heart says Arizona
My gut says Houston
My head says Texas
My ass says Philly.

I guess it depends what I eat or drink will be the deciding factor. I want to see some good ball. Best time of the year for sports.

Yeah, I basically concur on Longoria and/or Harper Blob.

I'm pretty much down with the Rangers winning at this point.

The others have all drank from the chalice in previous team incarnations.

But....Evan and a WS ring would be good to see as well.

Bryce too.
